Cuz I feel like finally postin about it, everyone please welcome my little Roblox game concept: Train to Nowhere!
TTN is a game based around being a soul within purgatory, tasked with taking down infected beings at the demand of the Star Angels (who are the ones ruling over the train and your fate). You must complete your tasks if you want a chance to redeem your soul, yet will you ever finish it? Will you ever be redeemed? More under the cut below with concept art, sneak peaks, and more! (WILL UPDATE AS I GO ALONG)
(DISCLAIMER: IM AWARE OF THE CURRENT STATE ROBLOX IS IN RIGHT NOW. THIS GAME WILL NOT COME OUT UNTIL ROBLOX GETS ITS SHIT TOGETHER AND UPDATES CHILD SAFETY POLICIES AND ACTS ON THEIR OWN SAFETY UPDATES)
The entire game itself takes place on a train taking you place to place much like Regretevator in a sense! Or well...any game really that is like that! Though, of course, you will have to fight hoards of infected beings, do tasks, collect items to expand your bigger story, and so on. The fighting system will be like pvp games in general, just unable to friendly fire a teammate.
Between infected zones, you will have small pockets of time where you can get new weapons, meet new faces, collect bits of the larger story, as well as even getting healing items (if I can figure out how to code it, you'll be able to heal your other teammates as well!)
In the basic states, things will get slowly added over time (IF we can implement it!) like friendship levels with characters that may get you special perks or help! I will say tho, everyone WILL have the same basic stats as everyone else unless we discuss otherwise (really new to game devving a non dating sim so like. Gotta figure that out lmaoooo)
At the end of the day Train To Nowhere is just a story for friends, by friends, and to have fun. Marketing it to others is just a fun little side thing I wanted to do with my friends helping me on this, though we're just putting in things we feel like adding + like!
Your game will ALWAYS start within the train station, though after getting on the train you will be able to respawn in the train itself (though note! We are thinking about you losing your items, however having a box where you can save items you don't want to lose :]). Going out to fight hoards is optional, however, you will not be able to gain currency from not going out. You'll need to collect star tokens (wip name) to buy things. I'm thinking of my friends and I adding a small tutorial stage? Honestly tho, nothing but the core concept is set in stone due to well....it's for fun!

Do note as of making this post I may update it with a reblog or an edit for more info / concept art, though at this time I do not have a solidified concept I like for the train station nor inside of the train itself (colors and layouts are still being worked out between my friends and I)
Concepts for some of the solidified designs I do enjoy as the Star Angels, Malcom, and Singe! Malcom's a favorite already by a lot of people LMFAO he's so <3 For right now I don't have much more as of the original post date that I WANT to share of the characters n whatnot even tho I do have a fair chunk done! I will update the post for more concept art n whatnot as I feel like it :]

Q: Will there be a pay to get x item or features?
A: No, I hate pay to get stuff so much lmfao like you'll be able to probably donate robux if you reeeally want to? But like. I prefer a fully free game for fun that you don't have to pay for at all. This is a hill I'll die on because god pay to win games drive me INSANE.
Q: What would the maturity rating be?
A: proooobably pg-13? I don't know what Roblox ratings are totally like because they confuse the hell out of me but the game will probably be around the same age rating as pressure, as well as trigger warnings for the game
Q: What would trigger warnings for the game be?
A: Since a lot of the stuff will be kept vague in game due to policies of the Roblox platform and not wanting to violate such, I would say probably smth like Pressure and Forsaken where there are mentions of death, how someone might've died (well, hinting to it), serious topics like forgetting someone to the degree it hurts them, lying, manipulation, control of a npc via another npc, worship, false safety, etc.
We decided things will be heavy at least off platform confirming lore bits that we can't add to game (ie; confirmation on deaths, how npc's died, etc.) due to again, not wanting to get banned :[
Q: How will the release of Train To Nowhere play / look?
A: considering it would be early on, most likely just bare bones as we learn how to code the game and update it as we go along, so it would be a basic kinda kill the infected creatures kinda thing and not too much polish until we get a bit more help n learn more stuff as a VERY SMALL group of friends creating some game
Q: How did you get the idea for TTN?
A: literally dreamed of it, woke up in a sweat, and screamed to like 3 friends and my boyfriend about it
Q: Will there be queer rep?
A: I don't think any of my characters can be straight I have smth called every character I make is gay, bi, pan, etc. itus and characters like Singe use exclusively neo-pronouns and or are nonbinary (tho Malcom's cis and a He/Him but that man cannot be straight lalalalala he's gay lalalalalala my gay cowboy oc lalalalalalala)
