Just a little Lego Rusty!
Something tells me he wasn't happy about today's schedule
All it takes are some new faces to really bring these models to life
My Diesel head canon Model
I had a bachmann Diesel for ages and wasn't happy with it fully. I needed a project to do while I wait for the next one, so I decided to make my Ideal Diesel. After he was sent away in disgrace, he returned to the other railway, was repainted, and lived a pretty boring life. He wasn't looked after well, became grimey and dirty. A fitting fate for him.
I sprayed the shell in white primer, and let that sit for a little while.
Did some blue paint, at least 3 layers
Taped off the area I wanted to paint yellow, then added the black stripes to the front and back.
Added some white for the handles, and gave him his number, 13236 and the BR logo. The number was from Sodor Island Models video tracking down what is diesel's real number. Last part was using watered down paint to weather and dirty this guy. I glued the latters back on and he was done.
Honestly this model was really fun to make, and I love seeing him run round my circuit.
I present Mini Salty the Dockyard Shunter. I made this from an old Hornby 0-4-0 Diesel I had laying around since I bought the engine to make my tram engine. I experimented with the shell for oil stains, but was tired of seeing it so oily. I tried using rubbing alcohol to get rid of the stains, but it made the engine's blue get stained and look sunbathed. I then decided to ditch the whole BR blue look and do a custom. I chatted with a friend and let her choose the colors, it's when I made the red is when I thought it looked a lot like Salty, so decided to go with it. Cleaned up anything I could and gave him his paint. And that's about it, just wanted to share him, maybe I'll make him some faces in future.
Wait a minute
So I think this has been discussed before but..
In RWS lore, it is cannon that there is a TV show
Is the TV show the IRL one or is there an RWS cannon TV cannon?
Did the TV show film the engines, and had them do reenactments on their days off? (I don’t see why they would get any?)
Is the RWS TV Cannon actually a reality show where the cameras are always rolling?
Did the RWS TV Cannon use models? Were they sentient?
Did Thomas’s model get in any arguments with Thomas over who deserves what share of fame? Or is it a more actor and stunt actor relationship?
