Soooo, quick little detail that probably means nothing, but... Henry wears gloves all day every day cause of his mysophobia, right? Well, I was perusing your ship art and headcanons cause that shit's amazing, and I noticed this: in the image of Henry and Hiro, he's not wearing the gloves. That is the only instance I can find in this blog where he's not wearing his gloves in scene or ask art. (He doesn't wear them for shirtless pics, but you get the idea.) And that just got me thinking - Henry is so comfortable with Hiro that he's willing to remove his gloves and ignore a lifelong phobia just for him.
(This probably is just me reading too much into things as usual, but AGH it's so fucking cute)
Wellll tbh I’m really bad with remembering small details sometimes and tend to forget tiny things here and there when redrawing characters, I think I forgot to add the gloves BUT i love your explanation a lot more than that so I’m definitely making that canon thank you so much for that babes 😄 as a thank you here’s some fluff of the two.
The only thing I’d say personally is Henry wouldn’t ignore his phobia for Hiro. A phobia (or anxiety disorder I think it’s technically called) especially when severe isn’t easily something you can brush off. I think Henry would feel safe enough with Hiro over time and Hiro would take it very slow and be really loving towards him. Remove his gloves carefully and only when he’s comfortable and kiss his hands to show him it’s ok. His phobia wouldn’t go away in one day but rather Hiro would help him feel safe and help him slowly feel strong enough to overcome it. Phobias can’t be ignored but they can be faced and slowly conquered with help from trusted loved ones. ❤️ at least that’s taken from my personal experience with my Trypanophobia and being able to deal with it better thanks to my husband.
