Hey Gordon, I recommend using various dilutions of gelatin to start off to introducing you to foods. You can up the percentage of thickness as you get used to swallowing thicker more solid foods, 5%, 10% etc. You can also add flavours to it to help you get accustomed to different tastes, or mix some things in like small sliced fruits to get you used to textures. Also, read up on what is safe to eat and what isn't, the last thing you need is to accidently eat poison berries or something. This should be a simple one, (Hands him a lolly.) Just keep it in your mouth and it will dissolve, no need to swallow.
