for the ask thing: i see you've received Five multiple times but may i ask about his wife Delores? 👀
(yes this is essentially me asking in a cheeky way about your five/delores headcanons just go with it skkssk)
DELORES MY BELOVED. *rubs hands together* okay this one is gonna be fun!
realistic: Delores likes it when Five reads to her. She doesn’t mind the theoretical physics or mythology books, but sometimes she asks him to read stuff like chick lits and YA novels and stuff he’d never read on his own, or was never allowed to read as a child. He pretends to hate it, but he doesn’t.
while it may not be realistic it is hilarious: Five is a coffee drinker. Delores is a tea drinker. They’ve been having a debate about which is better for over 40 years.
heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends: Delores never really left Five. Even though she wasn’t physically with him at the Commission, she was still there. A little whisper in the back of his head. She was just there, making fun of the Handler’s hair or reminding Five he needs to eat something. She’d tell him she understood why he was doing what he was doing at the Commission and that it didn’t make her care about him any less.
unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own: freaky Hotel Oblivion stuff happens and it briefly manifests a living version of Delores from Five’s subconscious. She’s so happy to see the siblings. She hugs them all and tells them all how much she heard about them, or just straight up acts like she knows them. And she does know them, she knows pretty much everything about them and she’s so happy they’re alive. She mentions how much Five loves them too, or how worried he was about them all those years. It freaks the siblings out just a bit, because Delores is so loving and kind, how did she come from Five’s subconscious? It leaves them with a lot to think about.
