Many quiet rivers start from noisy waterfalls, but none of them jumps and does not foam up to the sea. But it is often a sign of great peace of mind, and hidden forces… — Mikhail Lermontov Waterfalls have extraordinary power and beauty of nature… sparkling and splashing, breaking into a thousand rubble of mist. If you are making your way to Baguio City (via Kennon Road), did you know that there…

Saturday With Nature
What's the better way to spend the long weekend? Climb a mountain with friends and have a mini picnic. Ate Bana, Shei - the UPB Baguio mountaineer, Jeff, and I spent the first day of December climbing our way up Mt. Kabuyao and on the radar. Made a bullet of our day: • Woke up at 6:30 am and prepared our things for the climb • Waited for almost two hours for the jeep going to Sto. Tomas to drive off • Started climbing up the mountain when the jeepney dropped us off • The climb up was fun but hard at the same time. We got small bruises on out fingers because of the grasses that we have to wave off along the way. Good thing we wore long sleeves and jogging pants that kept the rest of out body unbruised. • There was this time that Shei got us on the wrong way in we were like literally walking on the edge of the mountain that if you step the wrong way, you'll be falling down. At first I was scared but adrenaline rush made me brave. • We had a few stops to give ourselves a rest since climbing up was exhausting • When we were close to the big rock, I tripped over and got my ankle sprained. • We finally reached the super big rock where we had our lunch. We sat on the edge of the rock. It was funny how we got ourselves to sit at the edge. We were literally crawling our way to the edge just to be careful. Haha! But when we finally sat, the view was magnificent. You can see the whole of Baguio City. • We enjoyed eating our lunch since we were all hungry • I was limping the rest of our trip • We finally reached the radar • We walked down the road but were walking at a slow pace since mu ankle was seriously hurting • Jeff gave me a piggy back ride • My ankle was really hurting so I sat down • Luckily, we hitched a car going to the jeepney station and that made it easier for us • We put ice on my ankle as soon as we saw a store and waited for a jeepney • We saw a taxi and rode to the city • The taxi didn't want to take us all the way our house so we have to wait again for a jeep or a taxi. Luckily, we got a jeepney that was empty so we lounged freely in it. • We finally arrived at home safely :)
