Breakfast at BenCab Museum’s Cafe Sabel
Part of the family’s Baguio vacay itinerary is a visit to the BenCab Museum. After hearing rave reviews about the place from friends for so long, and having an art geek for a daughter, I was glad to finally step foot in it.
Well, the 30-minute travel and all the walking around that we did took its toll on me and I got so hungry. The fam then decided to take our breakfast at Cafe Isabel, located…

Pleasant Little Lunch at Café Sabel
One thing to be really excited about Baguio is finding the right places to eat. You're only staying there for a short while, so might as well make it interesting. Café Sabel, to me and my friends, was definitely a pleasant little surprise.
☝BEYOND CUTE. And I mean Café Sabel's interior was beyond being just cute--it was relaxed yet sophisticated.
The restaurant was located inside the museum. How convenient is that?
Not surprisingly, the café's interior was also filled with art.
Their food was not that pricey compared to older popular restaurants in Baguio.
I ordered their Fish Curry that comes with a cup of brown rice. Since I have low tolerance for heat, I found this dish a bit too spicy. But the squash won me back. It made the soup thick and sweet, which I really liked. It was very filling too.
For dessert, I had their Volcano Ice Cream with Fresh Strawberries and Chocolate Lava. It was good (and cute), but after eating half of it, I realized the name was a bit too promising. After all, it was just ice cream and strawberries.
They also offered pasta dishes, like this Tomato Basil Pasta a couple of my friends had ordered. It didn't look filling to me. (That's me talking pre-diet season.) It was gorgeous and colorful and seemed a healthy option nonetheless.
Overall, Café Sabel was a pleasant experience. It was nice to dine here with friends, laugh, relax, and enjoy the view and the yummy food after a tiring morning.
