All That's Left
Summary: Tucker didn't really mind Caboose crawling into bed with him. Unless he was crying. Then he sort of minded. Notes: I was talking headcanons with my lovely friend Cabanna and had this idea and wrote it for her. Enjoy I suppose.

Tucker was half asleep when he heard his door open. He wondered if maybe it was Wash coming in to borrow something, but then he felt his bed dip heavily. A quiet 'Tucker' came out from the intruder, though Tucker didn't budge.
"T-Tucker... Are you awake?" Tucker groaned and rolled over to face Caboose. The other soldier sniffled a bit and wiped at his eyes, trying to make his tears stop. Tucker, trying not to seem to worried, sat up and blinked a few times, trying to get the rest of his sleep out of him.
"Why did you come and wake me up?" Tucker asked.
"I-I had a bad dream a-again," Caboose whispered. "A-and it was very scary and A-Agent Washington is not in his r-room so I could not go to him to h-help me."
Tucker sighed and laid back down, bringing the bigger man down with him. The bed made a small creaking noise, which only urged Caboose to bury his face into Tucker's chest.
"Caboose, hey. It's okay. It was only the bed." Caboose shook his head, not believing Tucker in the least bit. Tucker draped an arm over the man's shoulders and shut his eyes to try and relax. Sooner or later Caboose would fall asleep and Tucker could fall asleep as well.
Caboose seemed to have other plans before that.
"T-Tucker..."
"What is it Caboose?" Tucker mumbled, opening one eye.
"Can you c-check for monsters? C-Church used to do it for me..." Caboose pulled his head away from Tucker's chest to speak, still sniffling as he did.
"I'm not Church."
"B-but the monsters mi-might get us! And C-Church is not here to p-protect me like he usually does!" Caboose argued. Tucker groaned and pulled away from Caboose, sitting up once again. Caboose nearly pulled Tucker back down when he wrapped his arms around his waist, whining as he held onto him.
"Caboose, there aren't any monsters. It was just a bad dream, come on. I'm tired and I want to fucking sleep."
"B-but Church said-"
"Well Church isn't fucking here to back his statement up, is he? He left and he lied about the stupid monsters." Tucker tried to pry Caboose's arms off of him, but Caboose held tight, not wanting to let go of the only other person he had left.
"Tucker, p-please. I will be very quiet and go to sleep if you make the monsters go away... I p-promise..." Tucker could feel the leg of his sweat pants starting to get wet from where Caboose's tears hit it. This was stupid to Tucker. He didn't like Caboose crying, but at the same time, he was irritated and tired.
Tucker really did not want to deal with this.
"Fine. Fine. Let go of me. Tell me where the stupid monsters usually are." Caboose slowly let his grip on Tucker loosen before he sat up, letting Tucker stand up and stretch for a moment. He turned the light on and waited for Caboose to speak.
"U-under the bed..." Tucker checked and shook his head when there wasn't any monster. Shocker.
"In the wall... Y-you have to knock eleven times and if- if it does not knock back then that m-means there is not one there." Tucker gave him the most confused look he could muster before deciding that this was Caboose he was talking to; he should expect some weird ones.
Tucker walked over to the wall and knocked on it eleven times. They both waited for a knock back, and when there was none, Tucker turned to Caboose once again.
"That it?"
Caboose shook his head, and continued to point out where the monsters were for Tucker. About half an hour later of looking for monsters and there being absolutely zero, Tucker crawled back into his bed next to Caboose. He shut his eyes immediately and tried to get back to sleep, hoping that maybe Caboose would fall asleep by himself.
"...Tucker?"
"What now?" Tucker felt two arms wrap around him again and a head burying itself in his chest. He was surprised for a moment, but relaxed when a quiet 'thank you' escaped Caboose's lips.
Tucker responded by putting a hand in Caboose's hair, running through it once and then letting it sit there. Caboose nuzzled his face against Tucker's chest and he let a smile cross his face, feeling a little better that he helped him.
Tucker was half asleep when Caboose shifted on the bed, poking at Tucker's face. Tucker swatted his hand away and Caboose frowned.
"Tucker..."
"Shh... I'm trying to talk to the ladies..." Tucker mumbled.
"I think you are better than Church at getting rid of the monsters..." Caboose whispered, instantly making Tucker's dream disappear at Church's name. He didn't open his eyes, only let Caboose continue to talk.
"Do not tell him that though, because I do not want him to get mad." Caboose squeezed his arms around Tucker and yawned. "I think it is okay if Church does not come back... I have you and Agent Washington to protect me from the monsters... Though he is not very good at it..."
Tucker grumbled and poked at Caboose's side. "Go to sleep."
