That makes total sense to me – I just have a hard time seeing it in canon as we see it, and I really want Sai to end up with someone who values his feeeeeeeeelings.
Oh, yes, indeed. Which is why YamaSai is usually my endgame ship for him. With an occasional dabbling in KankuSai. ^_^

Mmm, yes, I can understand where you’re coming from (and that’s what my other Sai ships are for! ♥). Most of the appeal for me comes from RP-ing as Sai with a Danzo who is fabulous and brings to Danzo all the depths that canon often left me wanting. It’s still a somewhat problematic ship, yes, and I definitely don’t expect people will ever really board it, but there are things that I find very appealing about it all the same. ^_^
