That makes total sense to me – I just have a hard time seeing it in canon as we see it, and I really want Sai to end up with someone who values his feeeeeeeeelings.
Oh, yes, indeed. Which is why YamaSai is usually my endgame ship for him. With an occasional dabbling in KankuSai. ^_^

Mmm, yes, I can understand where you’re coming from (and that’s what my other Sai ships are for! ♥). Most of the appeal for me comes from RP-ing as Sai with a Danzo who is fabulous and brings to Danzo all the depths that canon often left me wanting. It’s still a somewhat problematic ship, yes, and I definitely don’t expect people will ever really board it, but there are things that I find very appealing about it all the same. ^_^

The ship is my: …uh. My…my…it’s the only Sasuke ship I’ve ever had any interest in. The only interest I’ve ever taken in Sasuke period, ahaha.

I’d consider the relationship: Healthy | Awkward | Abusive | Doesn’t work properly as a romantic thing| They’d never get together |

General Opinion: I love this ship when I can find it done right. But it’s like this primarily-sexual relatively-aromantic thing with so much potential for hilarity when Suigetsu has like zero concern/respect for Sasuke’s broody standoffish boundaries. Idk. They’re fun to play with.

General Opinion: Aaah, it’s a beautiful beautiful thing. Shipping Sai with an OC civilian has let me take him in so many new directions and develop him in ways completely different from any other pairings I’ve shipped him in. Plus, Fai is adorable. ♥
