Comic Book Store(ies)
Contrary to popular belief, there are actually several comic book stores scattered throughout South Africa. Outer Limits, a comic book store relatively close to the campus where I study,is in many ways a second home to most of the music students I see everyday. A place we admire and enjoy, it manages to draw us in every Tuesday for our appropriately named: “Comic Book Store Day”. As we gaze in amazement at the massive Warhammer figurine collection ; trading card games and comic books.We always find something new and fascinating to facilitate our frenzied fandoms. If you know of a comic book shop and you have yet to visit it, I highly recommend you do. I’ve come to realise that the fandom support and comic book geek community is very much alive in SA, make no mistake about that, and it’s probably worth knowing…Musicians are real geeks…
