Secret Door Challenge - Tufak
The tauren muttered quietly to himself as he walked the pristine halls of the museum, large hands clasped behind his back, leaning close to study each piece of art. Other patrons milled past him absently, enjoying the escape from the heavy rains outside. An elven girl slipped up beside him, peering at one of the paintings with wide, curious eyes. She was barely more than a child, from the looks of her. Tufak smiled and reached to point toward the long necked hound in the portrait.
"Do you know what that is?"
She huffed, looking up to him with the weary expression of the half-grown when confronted by some elder that underestimated them. "It's a dog," she answered with a roll of her eyes and a strained voice.
"Why would the painter put some dog into a painting of what was surely a rich and influential patron?" he asked gently, drawing his arm back and straightening to his full height.
"I dunno. He liked dogs or something?" She tipped her head to the side, sighing boredly. "Look, mister, I'm just here for a class project, okay? I have to get ideas for what to write about."
Aha. He'd been hoping for something like that. "Well, then. You should write about what dogs symbolized in Renaissance art. For instance, this dog here? He's a status symbol and also a sign that the subject was well known for his promiscuity. It was a matter of pride, in fact." The tauren chuckled as she raised her brows, looking more interested. "Why don't we look at a few more paintings and see if we can't help you get a better understanding?"

Nel: When're you gonna teach me more about the titans, or makers, or Whatever Tufak?
Tufak Says: Hmm...well, I haven't seen you in the Bay lately, lass, but I'm certain we can find some time. Let me just see what I have planned for the coming week...now where did I put that calendar...?
