Tuff Sunshine releases album “Fire in the Hero Building”
Indie rock trio Tuff Sunshine has released their newest album Fire in the Hero Building. Check out the track listing and videos for singles “Dynamite” and “Dreamin’” below!
We first met TUFF SUNSHINE (Facebook / Twitter), a three-piece New York-based rock group, when they played the very first show at Shorewave Haus back in February 2013 (Feb. 22, to be exact).
While it’s been nearly three years since then, we’re psyched to finally team up with the indie rock locals to release their debut full-length Fire in the Hero Building (SW006) on limited edition cassette!
The record has received acclaim from PopMatters and Magnet Magazine among others. Stereo Embers called the trio “James Tate Meets Paul Westerberg,” The Deli New York loved their video for “Dreaming’” (above) and they’re just wrapping up a week-long Eastern US tour.
The limited-edition cassette version of Fire in the Hero Building will be released via Shorewave Records in early December. Stay tuned for more details including pre-order and a New York release show!

Here is my edit of Kan Sano’s version of Roy Ayers ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’ for the Razor-N-Tape label out of NYC. I have always been a massive fan of Roy Ayers so was excited to work on this. Kan is a pianist and instrumentalist from Japan and this release also features versions from Grey Area, Luvless and Left Side Wobble.
