URGENT I have switched GPs recently and on my last bloods my prolactin was a little high, my GP will not give me a new prescription until I repeat the blood tests despite the fact I'm currently almost 3 weeks behind and by the time I can get another test/a repeat prescription/appointment for injections it will push me up to around 6 weeks behind. I've never known this to happen before and the amount of stress and anxiety it is causing me is extremely high, is this normal?

I would get advice from your GIC if you can. Stress by itself can cause your prolactin levels to increase, so causing you additional stress before retesting is definitely not ideal! Your GP should ideally be speaking to your GIC before withholding testosterone anyway, so I’d get in touch with your GIC, explain the situation, and ask for advice/for them to contact your GP themselves. It’s not really my place to say whether this is normal or not, because I’m (a) not medically qualified, and (b) know nothing about your medical history, but I will say that it seems to be possible to retest for prolactin without delaying testosterone - I had issues with high prolactin in the early days and was never made to stop taking it before retests. I will also say that, as frustrating and upsetting as it absolutely is, and as much as it’s not ideal and might not be necessary, a few weeks’ delay on a single injection shouldn’t have any major effects. You’re unlikely to see any changes revert, for instance, and any drop in your testosterone levels will soon be sorted out when you get your next injection - which will hopefully be sooner rather than later!
