Inktober sketch of Bazha Tuleh, from The Sponsors (which half of my characters seem to be these days...) Tuleh is from Khamal and distantly related to Dasaf. Her marriage to Jabari at 18 was a political arrangement, but she fell in love with him, and she was utterly devastated when she learned that he was unfaithful (and later, she learned, only interested in men). Despite this, they’ve managed to maintain a cordial relationship and have five children. Tuleh opened a shelter for abused women and an orphanage, and she’s grown very close to the people of Khabut Naseel. Normally women don’t get involved in their husband’s affairs, but Jabari trusts Tuleh’s instinct and intellect, so they make a decent team.
