As a spanish person myself, one of the things I love most about The Road to El Dorado is that it basically portrays the Spanish as a couple of pathetic, funny petty criminals who are a complete and utter idiots with no good intentions whatsoever, and yet somehow they end up becoming mates with everyone after partying and taking hallucinogenic drugs. And honestly, I think it’s the best representation of my culture’s energy I’ve ever seen from foreigners in any piece of fiction.
