tumbleweedforyou replied to your post “Hi! what do you think of Jord/Nikandros relationship? do you think...”
Can their ship name be 'that other Akielon and that other Veretian who also aren't Pallas and Lazar'. But also I'm curious, care to elaborate on the kyros status pet peeve?
The thing is, people seem to mostly put Nikandros on the same par as Jord or Enguerran more often than not, a commander, a soldier. I think it has to do with the fact that Nikandros has a more humble, more submissive attitude towards royalty than, say, a Lord of Vere.
But guys, GUYS. Nikandros is NOBILITY. AND HE IS ON A HIGHER HIERARCHICAL SCALE THAN JUST A LORD IN VERE TOO.
LOOK AT THAT. NIKANDROS ALSO LEADS THAT BIG PORTION OF AKIELOS. The only authority above him is THE KING.
By the way Damen speaks of kyros and gaining their support to be accepted as a leader, they seem to be about on the same scale of power as the Council in Vere.
But most of the times you also seem to not realize what The Council is, in terms of power, too, and how kingship works so let me give you some clues.
-The Council had the power to create the Regency.
-The Council could’ve had the power to declare Laurent a traitor and have him executed. The Regent alone, not.
- The Council eventually had the Regent declared a traitor and executed. A King alone couldn’t.
- The Council gave their approval of Laurent as a king. If they didn’t find him fit yet, he most likely couldn’t have.
If you look back, you’ll see neither the Regent or Laurent can just DO most things. The first need the seal of approval from the Council. That’s how kingship works most of times.
Things are some ways different in Akielos. But just get this. Being a kyros MEANS SHIT.
