God it felt like I was slowly drowning at work today. The vice grips of pharmacy just kept getting tighter as shit was compounding into a hot mess. I knew today was going to be a bad day when I saw the schedule but holy fuck. I've bee home for two hours and I'm still just sitting here with my mind on autopilot.
i think i’m glad that i live near the fringes of the city. i can still see the stars at night. and tonight they were fucking beautiful.

should but wont (at least not now)
I should probably pray about that last rant. Instead of sitting here seething. But I keep realizing how difficult it is for me to work up the will to turn to prayer when all I feel is bitterness and frustration.
Which is probably an indication that prayer is what I need right now. But in my own stubbornness I just sit here I still resist. And instead I just think about the fact that I should do it rather than actually doing it.
Never will I ever
Ohoho this is fun. Since my parents know they're wrong in this argument, they let me get away with my angry side-eyes and bitter sighs, and try to appease me with their forced attempts at being lighthearted . I'd honestly prefer to be wrong have them yell at me, and sit in guilt rather than this bitter frustration.
Its so ridiculous. My dad is always on my mom's case about needing to learn how to save and yet he always caves in whenever she wants to go out to the casino. That's the same-old story, every single time. But today was even more ridiculous because my dad is the one who wanted to go. But multiple times throughout today he was on my mom's case about finances and telling her that she spends too much (on us kids, but still) and basically having the same arguments as always. Chewing her ear off about controlling spending and the importance of savings.
And then tonight, he goes and tells her that he wants to go to eh casino. And my mom, who was half-asleep on the couch, instantly wakes up. Like someone shot 5 years worth of espresso into her system. I turn to her, glaring so hard my eyes felt strained, and grumble "Don't you have no money? You just borrowed x amount from me earlier today." She replies by saying that its just Dad who wants to go, and she's just going to go with him. And she'll leave her money with me. She makes a show of putting her cash in my wallet. All the while I'm still giving her a stare so icy that it puts Elsa to shame.
"Wasnt dad nagging you all day about how we need to save? Why does he want to go?"
"He wants to use his free play. Maybe he'll win"
Then Dad comes over and asks me if its okay if they go.
My response comes out in a frustrated huff. Why do you guys always ask if you don't listen to what I say any way?
He looks shocked. Well we ask because we respect you. We're not just going to go with out letting you know.
. . .
Excuse me? Hold up. How does that make any sense? You ask because you "respect" me but then when I answer with disapproval, you completely disregard my feelings on the matter? Yeah. Feeling the respect. I see how much my opinion is valued.
So I tell him. No. Dad, there's no point in asking me if you're not going to listen to what I say any way. You guys are going to go even if I say it's not okay. You might as well just tell me that you're going as opposed to asking for my permission. Which you dont actually need.
The hypocrisy of it all.. UGH.
