tumblingforth replied to your post:I’m on Imzy! Unrelated: I have no idea how Imzy...
Are you crossposting to imzy?
Probably the short fics, yeah. I also might use it for fic updates. I haven’t totally decided.
For the latest meme: 76, 59, 37
37 - do you read a lot? what’s your favourite book?
I do read a lot! I also have massive anxiety sometimes about not reading fast enough / not reading the right things / not reading things that everyone else has read. But yes, I love to read and I’ve always read everything.
My favourite book is Smoke and Mirrors by Tanya Huff, with Prosperity by Alexis Hall and Jackdaw by KJ Charles running very close seconds.
59 - do you smile for pictures?
I do, but I also think I look dreadful in every picture ever taken, so that might not be a good thing.
76 - what colour looks best on you?
I’ve always had to avoid reds and oranges and pinks and yellows, because I naturally have gingerish hair and that’s not a good clash. But now, NOW, I have dyed it a lovely shade of bright red, so I can wear so many more colours :D
But I look best in blues, probably.

this was so intriguing! So in this was there no Inquisitor at all and Corypheus is still planning?
I’m not certain yet; still planning it all out. I do know that in this canon, Adaar died, or something like it, at the Conclave. So I’d assume that there’s a Corypheus in this ‘verse, yes.

I really like this glimpse of a darker AU
Thank you! I doubt I could write anything longer in this AU, because it’d probably make me far too depressed, but it seemed an interesting idea.
#33 for the book meme
33: Do you experience "book hangovers"?
YES! When I’ve read a book I really love, in a world I really love, I spend days after feeling as though everything’s happening in that world rather than real life. I finished the Raven Boys at the weekend and am still in that place.

YES. Mirror Mirror was what really made me consider him more than TSN even. He was good in MUNCLE too. I hope one of his films do super great, but he’s not lacking for work either. I prefer him in the lighter stuff but he excels in both.
I very much enjoyed Man From UNCLE, even if it was a complete AU which bore very little resemblance to the original series.
But yes, he did a wonderful job with Ilya, both the emotional stuff and being very aware of how to use his size and presence in a scene. (”There is a giant chasing us” - bwahaha. I thought they were exaggerating until someone told me the man’s six foot five. Good lord. No wonder he seems so good at tripping over his own knees.)
I’ve seen him in a couple of more serious, biopic-ish things, and he’s done an excellent job. He seems to be doing well, but I do wish he was better known.
tumblingforth replied to your post:So I decided to give 2013′s Lone Ranger reboot...
I agree with all of this; especially the Hammer part. He’s always been good in what I’ve seen him in. Have you seen Mirror Mirror?
That was the first thing I saw him in, and where I was first impressed by his knack for physical comedy and his lack of self-consciousness. He does seem to throw himself around a lot, doesn’t he?
