Can you remember the 90s?

As in, do any of your memories take place during the 90s (yes, a single memory from 1999 counts).
I can remember about half of them. My earliest memory was probably 1995 and they go from there.

I can do it. I can write a chapter. I am capable of putting sentences together. I know what a comma is. I am Aware of the Character.
YOU ARE A REGULAR WRITER. YOU CAN WRITE A CHAPTER. YOU ARE A REGULAR WRITER. YOU CAN PUT SENTENCES TOGETHER. YOU ARE A REGULAR WRITER. YOU KNOW WHAT A COMMA IS. YOU ARE A REGULAR WRITER. YOU ARE AWARE OF THE CHARACTER.
New Hercule Poirot actor has been cast
Edward Bluemel is the new Hercule. The 33 year-old actor stars as Agatha Christie's iconic Belgian detective in a new drama titled Hercule, following Hercule Poirot's first cases in London before he becomes the world's most famous sleuth.
The series, coming to iPlayer and BBC One in the UK and BritBox in North America, is an intimate study of Hercule the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars. The series takes a magnifying glass to three of Christie's most celebrated stories, while also charting Hercule's burgeoning friendship with Captain Arthur Hastings, his early encounters with Scotland Yard's James Japp, and introducing him to one particular nemesis...
The six-part series is written by Benji Walters (Code of Silence, The Leopard, Obsession). Jonny Campbell (Am I Being Unreasonable?, Dracula, BAFTA winner for In The Flesh), will direct the first two episodes. Charlie Palmer (A Woman Of Substance, Extraordinary) is series producer.
James Prichard, executive producer for Agatha Christie Limited says: "My father had the privilege of working with David Suchet for nearly 25 years, and I now have the good fortune of being able to share my great grandmother's brilliant stories with a new generation of viewers. Edward Bluemel is an extremely talented performer and will make a great addition to the long line of actors that have played this celebrated character, aided and abetted by Benji Walters' thoughtful scripts. I cannot wait to see Edward on screen as Hercule Poirot."
Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama says: "Hercule Poirot is one of the greatest and most loved characters of all time, and bringing him back to the BBC is a real privilege. From the first moments of Edward's audition we knew we'd found the perfect actor for Hercule, with a performance that feels both fresh and exciting, yet quintessentially Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. We can't wait for viewers to meet him."
Filming will begin this summer, primarily in Liverpool.

SAS: Rogue Heroes (2025)
This was the very first SASRH thing I saw because it was in the S2 trailer.
I knew from the Daily Mail being angry about it that Paddy was gay, so my brain naturally went, "oh this must be the main ship."
Spoiler: it is not.

If this is the afterlife, it sucks. Every corner Eddie turns has new horrors.
Jonathan covering Will’s ears against the sound of yelling and broken glass.
Chrissy, gripping the toilet and heaving.
A Black kid Eddie doesn’t know, stepping in front of an older woman and into the path of a swinging fist.
If I’m going to see Hawkins, let me see something worth seeing, Eddie thinks. Like Steve.
Something has a sense of humour because the next scene is Steve, trying and failing to get off the floor as Hargrove looms.
Eddie takes a step forward.
“You can’t interact.”
Max is there, holding the hand of a little girl with a badass cloak and a Wheelerish expression.
“Max?” he says. “Are you dead too?”
“None of us are dead,” the little girl rolls her eyes. “But we will be if you don’t move.”
“The longer you stay in one place the easier it is for Vecna to find you.” Max says. “These are his memories. From when he was watching us. But I’ve worked it out. We can escape.”
“How?” Eddie asks.
“We just need to find the right door,” Max says, already reaching for the next handle.
in a time traveler au, is it more compelling if Eoin and Paddy ARE strangers, and modern Eoin ends up in WWII, OR happily married modern Eoin ends up in WWII staring at his husband's tragic-eyed doppleganger? Option one is "I know I tripped into a fairy circle, but I don't think that means I deserved to Outlander myself into world war fucking two." Eoin, 30 seconds after seeing Paddy: [weighing if True Love At First Sight balances out an active world war, minimal vaccines, and the general criminalization of any reciprocated feelings] Paddy: Times must be odd if one of the Fair Folk is making himself known Eoin: Paddy: Eoin: think I'm handsome enough to be one of the aos sí, do you? Paddy: Paddy: [flees] Eoin: [massive, face-splitting smile] (and then eventually they figure out Eoin's the great-grandnephew of Paddy's friend Ambrose, which does at least explain why Eoin looks so goddamn McGonigal-coded. Eoin: i AM a McGonigal Paddy: [was already doing the birth years math and dying inside, now adding 'related to my good friend' to the mix of mental 'mm don't like this'])
Option two tho. Eoin thumbing his wedding ring compulsively and doing some "is it infidelity if it's a version of my husband and he's desperately sad but still achingly attractive and I could help him?" calculations. Paddy walking around looking and feeling like he's been disemboweled. Every OG SASer aware that Paddy barely survived Eoin's loss in Africa, and bracing for the emotional carnage/(self-)destructive fallout of a Grieving Paddy Mayne in Europe.
Okay but this is genius! I cannot believe I haven't come across an Outlander/Goodnight Sweetheart AU in this fandom before and I need either version to exist.
Option one is more fun! Eoin can have WW2 adventures and spread his 21st century chaos around the place and then either choose to stay in the past or take Paddy back to the future with him.
Option two is devastating because Eoin would have to go back to his time! Can't leave that Paddy alone! But what about past!Paddy? Now HE'S alone. Oh no, my heart.
I want to be cool and mysterious so bad but unfortunately I have many thoughts about things
Go watch S.A.S. Rogue Heroes!
Please do! There hasn't been any new fic for days and I'm PINING. (I am aware I also have not updated my own fic, shh.)

rereading be a better us rn and i have questions and would be really happy if you'd indulge me (it's also okay if you won't!!):
1. does bill get his happily ever after eventually (maybe with dave🥹) or he does really stay alone?
2. what did eoin get paddy for christmas? 👀👀 what was paddy reaction? or don't tell me if it'll spoil the next chapter... hehe
3. gosh how much i want to read more of all of them, like tonkin and augustine and pat ughhhh
4. what did eoin got bill and dave for christmas? what did they got him?
im sooo curious sorry ily
Hi!!!
1. Bill ABSOLUTELY gets his happily ever after. He's one of my most favourites, I'd never leave him unhappy. He won't get it in this fic, but (hopefully, at least my plan is that) I'm going to write him his own fic after.
2. All will be revealed in the next chapter!
3. <333 I do need to find a way to include more about Paddy's London friends, but for Tonkin, I'm pretty sure he ends up with ABG in this 'verse.
4. Bill's birthday is 4th Jan, Dave's is 9th Jan, and they're both very stubborn and very proud (and they know Eoin will spend too much money on them and not realise), so the rule is usually that Eoin is only allowed to take them both out for a joint dinner for their birthdays. This... won't be as easy this year, what with the ~everything going on between them.
don't be mean to yourself that's you

Paddy: Paddy Mayne says NO to joining the sas
*flings an officer into a piano, gets put in jail, and then on multiple charges for boxing, looking at the end of his army career if he doesn’t join the sas*
Paddy: Paddy Mayne STILL says NO to joining the sas
Eoin: waltzes in, bats his eyelashes and asks him to join up together
Paddy: Paddy Mayne says YES
