I was curious to see what the black blasting media would do in the vibratory tumbler to clean up parts. A bag of the stuff is only $10 at northern tools and surprisingly does a quick job at taking rust, corrosion on brass and copper along with some paint if left in the tumbler long enough. I was using the shark tooth looking ceramic media which does well with polishing if used with water but I think this stuff will now be used more often. The media has sharp edges which do well to scrub the surfaces of parts and for once make the tumbler quiet enough you wonder if it's even on. If you tumble parts, give this stuff a try cause it may just work much better than what you are using at the moment.
