fic/drabble/whatever idea: you tell Kashimo that your favorite part is your boobs, and he gets indignant saying that he doesn't have one, just like this scene (it would be fun if it led to nipple play/worship but it's just your criteria. I love everything you write about Kashimo, you and 2 other people are the pillars of his tag)
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐌𝐄
↳ Kashimo + G/N Reader
Genre . Light Smut
Warning . 🔞 Minors do not interact | Contains boob worshipping + slight nipple play
Synopsis . You and Kashimo were in an arranged marriage due to both your growing age and needing an heir before the chance of conception decreases. However, your marriage turned out sweeter than you had expected, and you've managed pregnancy with a baby girl.
A/N . Finally got to do this, but I hope I got it right! It was mentioned as "your boobs," but I assumed with the image and the indignation you meant it was of Kashimo's 🙏🏻 If not, I can totally do another of the reader's instead 🗣️ Also TYSM, and for some reason Tumblr doesn't let me make my posts aesthetic anymore so please bear with it 💔
Maybe I’m that one oomf that’s too woke, but I have a feeling that people being weird about jayvik is a sign of Bad Things on the rise =/ I’m old as balls and I’ve been in fandom spaces since late 2000s, and I’ve never seen people act so hostile towards a fanon mlm ship. I mean precisely in women and queer dominated fandom spaces, dudebros never change, whatever. And of course there were always ship wars. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen people act so oppressed over being into het ships, crash out over their ships not being endgame and demand from fandom content creators to accommodate them. What is happening.
I think this started happening around 2023~ to be more precise bc that's when i started getting weird ass entitled comments on OTHER gay ships. IMHO the real issue here is that we are going through fandom clash with a newgen that did not experience early internet and they take the gayness in fandom spaces completely for granted. As in, they think these little niche holes we've built are the de facto 'effortless norm' and minimize the work that's been done to create these safe spaces. This is the kind of rhetoric i keep seeing pop up:
Many of them have also grown up almost exclusively interacting with art created by old fandom graduates where queerness is presented casually. They're not watching shit from the 90's or 00's. They're not adults, so they don't have a personal contrast experience seeing that 'rep' dwindling consistently over the years. They don't remember a time before this and don't know how bad it was.
OFC there are always old ass conservative weirdos riding on this wave to be even more annoying (certain infamous viktor stan accs... lol!) but #backtotradition rightwing bullshit has been on the rise worldwide, and so are the viral tiktok tradwife alphamale detransition white supremacy grifters. Its a larger cultural problem feeding into the micro stuff we see daily and it's terrible. It's also why I tune this shit out and I stand my ground. I'll draw what I WANT to draw and I'm not going to be twisting myself into pretzel shapes to appeal to anyone and everyone; go get YOUR shit elsewhere!
I *do* think people have been getting way more entitled towards fanworks, and that comes with a heightened level of apathy. You can notice this on the decreased number and quality of feedback across twitter, as an example (seeing as that place has been consumed by the conservative grifter wave) but it's also been reported by every fic writer who's consistently used AO3 for years. Tags on tumblr aren't as widely used. The focus on 'community' has been replaced by 'DOES THIS MAXIMIZE ENGAGEMENT?'. I know from personal experience that there is this one specific asshole who, for almost a year now, has been trawling the trans viktor tag and leaving insanely long transphobic critique comments on works of newer writers to discourage them from writing. (They are always on the cusp of open violent transphobia, but shittily cloaked as 'debates' on ~natural biology~ and fantasy logic so they don't get banned. If you've seen the ao3 pfp of a smirking white haired woman before you know who im talking about.)
Things have been Bad and on the Rise for a while now. Look at the current shit on the news. Look at the presidencies around the world. And it's going to get worse before it gets better, because it always does; that's what forces people to wake up. Be annoying. Be watchful. Don't waste your time platforming or debating weirdos that should be left to die on obscurity - this is how trump got a memeable platform, and look at where we are now. Protect your peace.
NBOSR 10: Recover the Recoverer
Og series and episode belongs to @barnabassiu1
Our special viewer- oh wait.. @smal5504 is on vacay.. no special viewer as for now ig..
Ofc link to og episode(which belongs on reddit) will be at the end also this episode is a bit cringe so be warned(and ofc the hard to see text since tumblr loves doing that to my posts)
also uh skitz.. could you like do a live reblogging thing? like reacting to the episode and put whatever reaction you have in the tags? it gets lonely without smal to do it as I read it off while I work on the next episode and my motivation for making these will decrease
By the way, regardless of what your favorite Tumblr Cop insists while polishing their badge in the notes, corporations do not raise prices because someone swiped bread.
They are raising prices because they are allowed to.
Because they can.
Because their legal and financial structure literally demands that they extract more this quarter than they did last quarter.
I was privy to the managerial and money handling side of my last job. I saw the spreadsheets. I saw revenue, loss reports, shrink numbers, payroll allocation, quarterly projections, hour allocations. I watched how those numbers were discussed.
Shrink. That scary word they love to weaponize. Theft. Damages. Vendor errors. All of it bundled together. It was accounted for. It was budgeted for. It was expected. It was a line item. Not the apocalypse.
And after all of that? After expenses. After theft. After operating costs. After wages. After insurance. After utilities?
Billions in profit.
Not “barely in the black.” Not “oh no we might close.” Billions. Year after year.
And prices still went up.
Staffing still got cut.
Hours still got slashed to skeleton crews.
Quality still dropped.
Customers still paid more for less.
You know what never happened?
A meeting where someone said, “Shrink is down this quarter, let’s lower prices.”
That sentence does not exist in corporate language.
Retail shrink in the United States tends to hover around one to two percent of revenue according to the National Retail Federation. That is not 'nothing', but it is also not a catastrophic black hole swallowing the economy.
Meanwhile, corporate profit margins in many sectors have expanded significantly in recent years.
The Economic Policy Institute has pointed out that corporate profits have accounted for a large share of recent inflation.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has published analysis showing markup growth contributing heavily to price increases.
In plaintext - companies charged more because they could, not because they were concerned by shoplifters.
If theft was truly the driving force behind price hikes, we would see prices stabilize or fall when theft decreases. We do not.
Prices ratchet upward during “crime waves.” They ratchet upward when crime is down. They ratchet upward during supply chain crises. They ratchet upward after supply chains stabilize. There is always a justification ready to go.
Theft is just one of the more emotionally satisfying ones.
Because it gives people a villain.
It is very convenient to point at someone stealing baby formula and say, “There. That is why your groceries cost more.” It redirects anger downward. It feeds people who already want to believe the poor are the problem.
It gives cops and security guards a moral shield. It gives politicians a talking point.
It keeps workers mad at customers.
It keeps customers mad at each other.
It keeps everyone too busy fighting over crumbs to look at the banquet table upstairs.
Corporations are legally structured around growth. Not stability. Not fairness. Growth. G r o w t h.
Public companies have obligations to maximize shareholder value. If they can raise prices without losing enough customers to hurt profits, they will. That is how the system is built.
So when you see record profits alongside price hikes, that is not theft forcing their hand. That is margin expansion. That is testing how much consumers will tolerate.
And here is the part some of you may outright not know and that I refuse to let some Security Guard lie to you about;
theft is already priced into the budget for the year in a megacorp.
It is anticipated. It is modeled. It is part of operating cost projections. It does not suddenly shock executives into slapping 30 percent on food.
What does move prices dramatically?
Decisions about profit targets.
Decisions about shareholder returns.
Decisions about stock buybacks.
Decisions about executive compensation structures that reward aggressive margin growth.
Greed is not a cartoon villain twirling a mustache. It is a spreadsheet that says, “We can squeeeeeeze 'em harder.”
So no, the dumb teenager who stole mascara is not why your rent is up. The desperate mom who pocketed formula is not why eggs cost more. The guy who walked out with a fucking waffle iron is not why your favorite store feels worse every year.
The people who saw billions in profit and decided it was simply not enough are why.
And they were going to raise those prices anyway.
Something I like a lot in my online spaces is seeing people not treat children and minors in general like stupid braindead thingies, that’s so very important for me
A frustration my inner kid had that I still carry with me is how much the educational system failed her, how it doesn’t care to adapt to each kid so they all learn accordingly to their needs. I was more advanced than other kids my age for most of my school years, by a lot. I don’t mean this to be rude or mean to the other kids, of course not, but my years up to 7th grade consisted of me finishing all my work in ten minutes and being stuck in class the other fifty waiting for the other kids to finish theirs. As a kid I loved finding extra stuff to do. My friends were writing all the numbers till 20? Okay, I’ll do till 100, not like there’s anything left for me to do, and I liked learning either way so it was fine
But one particular event that stuck with me was in 4th grade, we finally got to learn about dinosaurs. Oh boy you have no idea how excited I was. I was a massive dinosaur nerd, I loved watching youtube essays about them, reading about them, everything. So the teacher gave the assignment for us: we would write with our own words how the dinosaurs were extinct, and then after the next 5 classes where we’d study them, we would again write about it with our own words accordingly to our newfound knowledge, and they would do a lil exposition of our works in the school mural. Seems easy enough, right? I was excited as hell. Then it got ruined. All the videos and books we used in class we super infantilized and oversimplified
What happened? My first essay was much much better, cohesive, and had batter wording and explaining than the second one I made based on the classes. The second one was wonky, confusing and poorly structured. THEN when it was time to expose our works, what did they do?? THEY CHANGED THE ORDER OF MY ESSAYS. They made it seem like the first one I made was actually done after the classes. Oh I threw a massive tantrum. Like, pulling my hair out, hitting myself and sobbing tantrum. Unfortunately, I couldn’t articulate why I was so upset so they gave me some tea to calm down and sent me back to class lmao
Honestly? Them changing the order of the papers wasn’t what upset me. I was sad that the quality of my work decreased because they didn’t consider the possibility of the kids being able to handle smarter materials. I was upset that the idea of showing us real documentaries and then helping us learn through scientific material was seen as absurd. I was upset none of the books we read even had illustrations of dinosaurs that weren’t cartoony. I was upset they couldn’t handle the possibility of helping the kids learn if they were struggling, so they took the easy path and gave us materials made for kindergartners so everyone would be able to understand. I was upset to be slowed down.
I still get a little frustrated remembering that, and I just realized how I never externalized that, so I’m dumping it into tumblr as always lmao
2023 Wrap Up! What I Achieved (and What I Didn't) Plus 2024 Goals
We're at that time of the year again! What a blast this year has been for me as a Gaming Content Creator to look back on. For this, I'll be referring to these Tumblr blog entries:
1. 2023: Reevaluating My Content and Developer Goals For This Year
2. End of 2023 Content Creator and Developer Goals (Updated as at August)
Let's start with what I didn't manage to achieve this year.
Indie Game Dev:
Achievements
The hobby dev team I'm in managed to recruit a graphic artist, and we were able to create something out of a game jam back in April. As mentioned in the August blog entry, the game still needs polishing and honoring the team's agreement to not showcase it yet until it's ready, it was still a fun dating sim project that involves mycelium! However, we're at the point where we aren't quite able to do this on a more regular basis due to new job schedules for a few of our team members. So...looks like my time as a game developer is currently on hold for a while.
Having gotten that out of the way, let's continue with what I did manage to achieve and where I'm headed in 2024.
YouTube:
Achievements
As at now (December 31, 2023), I'm sitting at 690 subscribers, just 10 subs shy of hitting 700 at time of writing. It doesn't sound like a big number, but at this time last year, I was only over 300 subscribers, with me hitting close to 400 on January 18 this year.
Specific tweet here.
This means almost doubling the number of subscribers on my channel, which I am grateful for, and already a fabulous achievement for a small creator like me. ❤️
Targets for 2024
Will the upcoming year be the year I'll finally hit 1000 subs? I'm absolutely positive it will be! With the trend of my best videos being the Get Better At Mahjong series that constantly receive views daily, I can see it coming. Despite only producing possibly 1 mahjong video annually at this point, it's the tabletop game that will always be in demand no matter what, especially during the Lunar New Year period when the entire community that celebrates the festival plays this game to entertain the rest of the family. The better question is exactly when this will happen! Let's see if this will happen by the Year of the Dragon!🐉
Content Creation:
Achievements
1. Festivals and Why You Should Play series: Having covered several Steam festivals, ranging from Next Fest to LudoNarraCon, I have come across many games that would have otherwise flown under my radar. With so many amazing games released in 2023 in particular, I had to start a new series that goes a little more in-depth on individual games. This is when I decided to start the Why You Should Play series. The playlist is still a little too short to have it appear on the landing page, but I hope I'm able to give the games a little more justice and attention to some of the details that I wasn't able to cover in the more generic festival videos that usually only offer demo coverage. There are still many games that I have planned videos for, but with my ability as a one-man-band doing everything while also honoring other commitments, many of these have to be on hold. Hopefully less so in 2024, but let's see!🤣
2. Let's Plays: Noticeably, I have done a lot less Let's Play style videos in the past year. This is not to say I don't want to keep doing them, but due to lack of views and my inability to be amusing enough to be entertaining, I've decreased the frequency of this video style in favor of more structured videos. It also means putting more effort into increasing the production value for the other videos, which means my video releases are less frequent compared to 2021 days. However, seeing the improved quality of videos I've released in 2023 is a great reason to continue that trend. I will see if I can finish off some of the Let's Play titles that are in progress at a later time, but with upcoming new schedules, I cannot make any promises on that. I will try to squeeze something interesting in once in a while where possible (such as the Two Point Campus Christmas Challenge video).
3. Convention series: As Covid-19 started to ease off in January and Hong Kong finally opening up to the world after nearly 3 years of being in constant lockdown, I began to consider heading back out there and put gaming travel as part of my channel branding as it was my original plan pre-Covid to start travel vlogging. It was one of the best decisions I've made this year with meeting many gaming industry peers at conventions, plus putting faces to Twitter mutuals. This is where I decided to begin some form of gaming related travel series, though I admit I am a little slow in the turnover as the time commitment to editing has been quite challenging on my end. I only have 2 videos related to conventions so far, but more videos are coming!
Targets for 2024
With dates set and churning out travel plans in advance, my convention attendance and coverage will overall increase as with continuing coverage for Steam festivals (Next Fest in particular). The only thing I'm afraid of right now is creator burn out, but by far I'm managing this reasonably well, despite may sometimes requiring me to take a week or two off from video editing on occasions due to sudden mandatory commitments. As long as this trend continues, we're good to go!
Last Words for 2023
Best year yet! Thank you everybody who has been supportive of my journey and am absolutely grateful for the opportunities presented to meet new (and finally non-virtual) faces from the gaming industry. I'll leave a photo of my cosplay of FFVII's Tifa (that I wore to gamescom asia 2023) as a reminder of this year's achievements as I continue my Gaming Content Creator journey through to 2024. Here's to a fabulous 2024!🎉
Hello! So I recently got into Obey Me! bc I was bored and I discovered your blog while looking through guides and your guides and theories are comprehensive and interesting 🤩 It seems like you’ve also been playing the game/in the fandom for a while and I just wanted to ask if you, if the fandom is still active? Most of the posts, fanarts, and stories I see were still back in 2020/2021 so I can’t get a grasp if its active :((
Thank so much for your help!
-🌱
It's definitely still a pretty active fandom but it tends to have lull periods when the game is between seasons - Season 5 should be starting soon, so interest will ramp back up when that happens ^^
There is also the Obey Me anime that generates interest but unfortunately Solmare have distributed it in a not so great fashion that has definitely curbed viewing figures.
Additionally, the game has decreased in quality significantly since the first two seasons, both in terms of the story (which contrary to what some suggest, did used to have some good writing), game mechanics (game had an insane difficulty jump), and, well, greed.
Every gacha game exists to make money of course, but the introduction of loot boxes, unskippable bad daily deals, ridiculously high event goals, charge cards that cost hundreds of real dollars... it doesn't really engender great brand loyalty tbh.
All that being said, these are a) all things that can improve, and b) of not much consequence to fandom. Strong fandoms exist around many a terrible property after all, and fan content is often superior to canon.
I mean, that's why I'm still here! I love the characters and there is much lore to be taken and played with.
~
The one real caveat I would give is that the OM fandom is sadly notorious for its toxic element that I don't think is actually that big, but it is definitely overamplified for a relatively small fandom.
Consequently, those who make more marginalised content, and/or are marginalised themselves, often leave the fandom or at least go quiet publicly.
The vast majority of non-toxic fans are in communities on discord, as both tumblr and twitter (moreso the latter) have seen various hate campaigns and harassment cases over absolutely nothing - not to mention cases of actual bigotry from fans towards other fans.
I keep things very clean here, but I've had my fair share of hate mail which can certainly go from dismissable to overwhelming rather quickly.
~
That said, having stayed out of most fandom group stuff other than my discord, I haven't had any unpleasantry brought to my doorstep of late. And if you block freely, the fandom is still full of fantastic artists and writers.
I'd just very much advise not getting too friendly with anyone at first, or being too trusting. Sadly, there are a lot of bullies trying to police a game about demons of all things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
