I have to say that the worst thing in canon in my opinion (HEAVY SPOILERS FOR FIRE EMBLEM: THREE HOPES in case someone hasn't finished it) is:

What they did to Edelgard in Azure Gleam. It was just... really upsetting on so many levels. Edelgard is a character who did a lot for me, especially the fact that she gets to have a happy ending. Her being robbed of that was absolutely awful and honestly made me feel incredibly down. I can only imagine that's the case for a lot of people who relate to her (i'm especially thinking about people who look up to her because she's an abuse survivor). Add to that people saying that she deserved it or it's the only way for her to get her redemption... live or let live i guess but... personally it makes me extremely uncomfortable, which is one of the reasons i try my best to steer clear of this kind of opinions.

modern/domestic au

this sounds weird to me because i read a lot of domestic aus, but i think thats just because there are SO MANY domestic aus total in fanfic... everyone be makin shit domestic... i get it... but because of this i am SUPER picky on them. i also tend to get like,,,,,, really fucking bored. of domestic aus. because there are so many. and so many of them kinda lean into the same things.... theres gotta be interesting plot to it im not here to read about the character's day to day lifes every day give me some meat something to chew on and think about.... ermmm.... C- to D+.

musician/idol au

umm. D. not in a "i avoid it sort of way" but in a "its not really for me but sometimes the premise seems interesting enough for me to read it anyway" type way.

apocalypse au

hmmm. B. there's not a lot of apocalypse aus out there. i think tehre could be more. could be fun. could be interesting. could even have some of that whump/hurt no comfort that could hit real good with that, yknow?
