What's Your General Inspiration For Chronoshift? And What Made You Want To Make It On The First Place? :3

Chronoshift is primarily based off of my personal experiences and my taste in fiction/media!!! :D

In chronoshift, I made Sans the main character because I relate to him a lot. With his depression and promises, I used to be a lot like him. And not just about that but in fashion, family and friends, personality, everything. We twins fr.

Well, were.

I’ve changed a lot since I was a kid and I’m very proud of myself for the progress I’ve made. But sometimes I miss it. I miss my old friends, my mom, our old house and the creek in our backyard. And I especially missed the creativity I used to have. :(

I’ve always been incredibly nostalgic in that way and have repeatedly tried to keep memories of people and experiences I used to know and live alive in my art. But it always failed in some way. Their personality would be warped, I’d forget their voices, their faces, their likes and dislikes… it felt wrong trying to fill in those gaps. But I never learned to stop trying.. So over the years I grew to be quite the perfectionist.

So, this au is me trying to change that. Instead of trying to get every detail right I just want something creative and very much self indulgent. ;w;

In this au, everything is pretty much centered around someone I know/used to know or about me or something I find interesting/love. :)

Like mettaton for example this is also an excuse to talk about mettaton uhhh

I’ve always struggled with my identity and sense of self so I also relate to Mettaton a lot too. Especially when it comes to gender and a career.

I’ve always wanted to be a ‘star.’ And I’ve been confident that my art will help me be one. Well I hope so, lmao.

In chronoshift, Sans and Mettaton are actually dating. It’s like a metaphor for marrying my pain to my hopes and dreams ba dum tch to keep me hopeful for the future. Because I know it’s gonna be great :]
