reason (spoilers):

theyre both middle aged men and the oldest of the cast. theres potential for tragedy bc only one of them (tunner) dies while the other survives. they have a adopted child they take care of together (sky). they both, besides sky, are each others canonical only friend being outcasts otherwise. their colors are pleasing together.

Didn't know if you wanted art or facts about him in my AU/headcanons, so have both!

1: His favorite day is the anniversary of when he became sheriff, which is also the anniversary of Brud’s first words, which is also MFC's birthday (this all happened the same day btw)

2: He loves astronomy, and he likes stargazing. He especially likes stargazing with his family snuggled up to him on a blanket

3: He actually connects with MFC a lot more than you would expect, as he's also the son of someone who's very well-known in the community. He also understands feeling like his parents could have loved him more.

4: Actually very good at cooking, specifically barbecue, and he likes to cook for the whole town on his days off of sheriff duty.
