Here is more Dad Tunner and baby Brud! (This takes place soon after Dad Tunner part 1 )
I'm really happy with how this comic turned out! :D Its probably the longest one I've done before! I hope you all like it!
(Full length all together + Little ramble below!)
I have the head canon that since the very beginning Brud would be attached to his bucket. He loves his bucket and refuses to part with it or accept any other bucket but his original.
I think the concept of Tunner removing Brud from the bucket and then Baby Brud freaking out and Tunner not knowing way for a long time would be funny.
:D I made it so as Tunner gets more nervous/anxious the backgrounds grow darker for him! :D
also also just to clarify! This is back when Brud was a baby - so like years ago :0 (So other characters who are adults would younger too- since this is in the past)
I like to think of Tunner as his Father who found and raised him
SPRUNKI AU BIOLOGY - Part 1 - Sprunktrees Overview
Finally after months of work, our updated Sprunktree spec bio guide is done!! The first part of this guide details the basic biology of the Trees!
Sprunktrees, named for the close symbiotic relationship they have with Sprunkis, are a crucial aspect of both the ecosystem and societal structure.
More information below (elaboration on details that couldn't be contained in a simple infographic)!
Trees are distantly related to Sprunkis and possess similar abilities, such as adaptation ability and musical energy! That's about where the similarities end, however. True to their name, Trees are a lot closer to plants. They're rooted in place, they get some of their energy from sunlight, and they can have multiple bodies connected by a single root network.
They're also a lot less sensitive to most sensory input. They can feel touch/temperature/pain, but it's very muted, especially in the case of currently uninhabited bodies. If the need arises, a Tree can even intentionally sever the connection to one of their offshoots entirely, a useful measure in case of a body sustaining damage or disease.
Trees tend to have one "main" body that stores the majority of their energy reserves. Due to this, the main body will typically be the largest, will have the most range of movement (ex: ability to reach out with branches/roots, or even tilt in a certain direction), and can produce fruit more readily. The "main" body is not necessarily set in stone. It can be changed over time by slowly transferring energy to another offshoot in the root network. A sudden loss of the main body can be very jarring to Trees, or even fatal in the right circumstances.
Unlike Sprunkis, Trees don't start as blank slates free to adapt to/mimic anything. Rather, their appearances/sounds are inherited from their parents! They can change with time, of course, but overall, a Tree's appearance generally hinges more on their environment and their family!
Larger cities tend to have several distinct Trees, since a single individual's reach can only span so far. Trees from the same town might look similar (especially if they are related), but they can also be entirely different!
Trees work together to watch over the Sprunkis and their homes. They're extremely long-lived creatures, so they can really define the identity of a town, getting to watch its inhabitants grow throughout the generations.
Stay tuned for part 2 of the guide!
Next up: the role of Sprunktrees in raising Sprunkis, and how Sprunkis get their characteristic vibrant colors!!
