regina mourning over a dead emma.

       she was stoic during the funeral. she had        to be for henry, who had just lost a mother.

                       she was stoic at the wake, tamping down                        her emotions so as not to call attention.

             but when she visits the cemetery that night while the rest of storybrooke sleeps, regina doesn’t have to keep anything in. looking at the name on the headstone, it all hits her again. she hadn’t been able to save her. tears choke her and she falls to her knees, eyes squeezed shut as she sobs, unhindered by the presence of anyone not privy to the fact that she had been secretly seeing emma, that she had fallen in love with emma…

                               that she’d just asked emma to marry her                                                                and that emma had said yes.

    she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a ring –– the ring she’d proposed to emma with. she had been keeping it in her nightstand until they were ready to tell people –– which they’d planned on doing the day emma had…

                       the queen brings the ring to her lips for a moment, kissing it.                        waving her hand,  it vanishes, going underground to rest on                       the finger of the woman she’d   loved for the rest of eternity.

omg and then what if the principal threatened to not let emma graduate so she had to get a tutor and her tutor ends up being regina?!?!

“Oh, thank God you’re okay!”

“...oh, God, my head...”

That was the first thing Regina could think to say, as she sat up in what felt like a hospital bed. She didn’t remember anything, but the relief in Emma’s voice and their current surroundings were enough of a clue that something unpleasant had certainly occurred.

“What...what happened?”
