Got obsessed with the Turbo guy and made a 'reboot'. The old arcade was bought by a tinkerer and they used parts of the machine to make an advanced arcade.
Story-wise, it's still being tweaked, but the characters exist in the space well enough! Shor even found a way to connect to their creator's laptop to suggest things to. (disguised as a supporter ofc)
The Turbo Twins tend to keep to themselves (until they're bored). They're the best racers in the game thanks to their Tag Team ability. Shor is trying to get them nerfed. When Turbo is added, they'll make TEAM RETRO
Suede is book-smart and seemingly the most mature of the group. Loves fashion and being the best racer ignoring the Twins. Speaks their own French to look fancy.
Shor is internet-smart and has a connection with the creator on their laptop. Recites memes and keeps up with latest news. Typically more reckless than the other two.
Sunny is country-smart and is the one to take care of flora and fauna of the game. Apparently older than the other two, but doesn't act it. Tries to be a ball of sunshine.
Together they make TEAM CMY
There'll also be TEAM RGB, starting as villains, but become playable when you beat them. As TEAM RETRO will be all boys and TEAM CMY are all nonspecified, TEAM RGB will be an all girl team.
One game mechanic I know is in the game is 'kart interactivity'. If you are side to side with a racer, you can hop horizontally over them and get a lil speed boost. Similarly, if you are riding someone's bumper, you can hop over them and get a speed boost. Same if you're in front and want to be behind someone. There's a 'glitch' where if you time it just right, the two riders can hop over each other consecutively. Most effective with the latter, but the side-hop is fun too ^^
The game strives more for the fun of racing rather than winning. (Shor doesn't mind getting last/when Sunny and Suede practice bunnyhopping because the courses are sooo pretty <3)

Edit: their TV is a character, made before Turbo was given a model. He's the announcer and let's the racers know when to be where. Answers to Turbo and TB, but will be tagged as Turbovision.
