a snippet from my upcoming alex turcotte fic because i want to hype it up!!
(inspo for the fic from the song drinking games by silver sphere)
warnings: mentions of a character being drunk
He was silent for a long time after that, running a hand over his jaw as he thought. In the end, he just ended up reiterating himself, saying,
"You shouldn't be with guys like that." You chewed on the inside of your cheek as the words sunk in. You made yourself consider your reply, to balance what you wanted to say and what you should say.
What you wanted to say: "And who should I be with, Alex? You?"
What you should say: Not that. Anything but that. It was a bad topic to bring up sober and even worse to bring up with Alex drunk.
But you wanted to.
Because Alex looked at you like he said those boys did. Like you were his. Like he couldn't stand the thought of you being with anyone else. But last you'd checked, you weren't his girlfriend, or really his anything. He had no claim over you.
enjoy today’s snippet!!
Alex was magnetic like this--wild and uninhibited and with enough alcohol in his bloodstream to kill a lesser creature. Everyone in the room wanted either to be him or to have his attention on them, yourself included. It was part of his magic, you supposed. On nights like tonight, he became the god of his own little world of a hundred drunk teenagers; they practically fell to their knees for him.

daily turcsfic snippet!
The hard part was over. Now, whether you wanted to or not, you would talk to Alex. It felt dangerous, like you were standing on the edge of a cliff and looking down. So easy-- it would be so easy for you to slip and drop to the bottom before you even had the chance to blink. All you could do was hope that the ground underneath you was stable enough to hold your weight.

They acted as if the happy-go-lucky guy that they met was the extent of his identity. But they'd never seen him apologize to his billet mom for staying out late, or seen him so angry his face turned scarlet. They'd never seen Alex worried or abashed or guilty. They'd seen a fraction of him, the glimmering facet that he presented to the world. You saw that too, but you also saw the other stuff. The not-so-pleasant sides of Alex.

(will be posting one every day until I release the first part of the fic)
"Don't be like that, Y/N. If I don't take responsibility for shit it just makes me a dick," Trevor insisted. "You are a dick," you reminded him. "A dick who owns up to his actions," he corrected as he pushed the freezer door shut. "Big difference."
guys im sorry but tz is just so much fun to write. (i like to think that I make fun of him enough in the fic that it makes up for him having such a large role lmao)
spencer knight makes a cameo in the turcs fic and I accidentally made it extremely obvious that I adore him
like no, y/n isn’t secretly thirsting over him, it’s just me
