Turloch App- Roxane
I think the Turloch application will not be a successful research tool. The whole idea behind is nice but the format as an app is not successful. I personally don't see people using the app. There are too many components, already to complex. To many things are going on. The interfaces are not that appealing. These days the appearance of an app should be on the spot. Do it right or don't do it.
The idea behind Turloch is partly about personal development. Personal development is quite a personal process I think the app version is not the right tool to document that. You can not real experience the emotion of the person experiencing the app. Also in a way it is basically an app for being productive, sharing things etc. We already have a lot of apps that does that efficiently.
Who wants to write all their personal things on the app. And all the other data on the app. Do you trust the app? I do not see myself writing my personal insights on the app. I would rather do it analogue with pen and paper. Maybe in the short run it might work. But in the long run it is nog going to work out. Which leads to another aspect: you are on the phone, screens again. We are already living in a society where you are constantly looking on screens.
I would rather go to the people talk to them and collect information. Or create workshops based on the research topic and be active instead of assertive.
