(Turlock, California) A forever home is needed for sweet Gwen, rescued by a Good Samaritan. Here’s their story: “Two weeks ago, while I was out doing TNR for community cats, I found a bunny abandoned alone in a parking lot. She was clearly left behind. I brought her home to keep her safe and quickly noticed she was having trouble walking. I named her Gwen, which means ‘blessed,’ because that is exactly what she is — a blessing who deserved to be saved. I took Gwen to my veterinarian, and X-rays showed she had an old, untreated fracture in her right front leg. The injury had been there for quite some time and required immediate surgery. The only humane option was amputation, and she bravely underwent surgery to have her right front leg removed. Thankfully, Gwen is otherwise a healthy, approximately two-year-old Harlequin bunny. She is bright and alert, eating well, and adjusting incredibly well to life as a tripod. She is sweet, gentle, and resilient. Gwen is now ready to find her forever home — one where she will never be abandoned again. If someone is interested in giving Gwen the loving home she deserves, please reach out to Brandi Rollins at 209-606-0172 or [email protected]. Thank you for helping us give this special girl her second chance!”
