first of the jaktober specials, commissioned by @psilocybinge-- some happy wasteland boys! this one was a lot of fun; these nerds deserve all the good things c:

request doodles for the anon who asked how Jak's mum would react to Samos treating Jak and Dax like tools/trash.

answer: if you fuck with Kali's sons she'll fuck with you.

also needed a little height chart for these pics; I figure Samos has got to have some sort of dwarfism to account for his height and odd proportions.

The Jak stuff is pretty straightforward (I've discussed his scars before). They wouldn't be as dark as they're drawn here; this was intended more as a pattern ref.

The Daxter designs are from Cascade (left) and Brothers (right).

I draw the most art for Cascade so it's sort of become my 'default' human Dax. He's got pretty simple wastelander-style clothing (including a skirt instead of pants because they're not available in Spargus) and he usually braids his hair to keep it from getting too tangled. He also ends up wearing some of Jak's armour until he can earn his own because Jak wants him to stay safe.

In Brothers AU Daxter never got turned into an ottsel, so I figured he would acquire new clothes during the two years looking for Jak in Haven to help him blend in. They're a similar style to Jak's canon clothes (because Daxter's own tastes would have come into play when choosing them) and he gets a shorter haircut for mostly practical reasons.
