Turner Jackson - Red Plastic Cup

It’s never easy to explain the bravado that a company can have, especially a new one like us. But our only goal is basically to do that through what we show you along our time together. Today we have another addition to the Imperial Family named Turner Jackson to give you just that. A small picture of expression from Turner to Imperial to you. Along the way you will encounter ever more of course but you gotta stick around for that. Turner comes from Denver, Colorado and has already gained ground over the past month from his newest album “Red Plastic Cup” since he step aside from his rapping career three years ago. At that time Jackson was probably starting to think of another style though because 'Figure It Out' from his album ‘Black Electric’ has a bit of a future jazz feel with the saxophone and the samples you hear.

Turner’s new album has been getting bigger as the days go by. Supposably, maybe when he performed back in 2014 at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado with Schoolboy Q gave him a glimpse at what direction to go with the new album. He likes to say that his style is a mix of jazz with lyrics of about destruction of positive impacts within his life but you can tell he still likes to keep a little bit of rap energy in there just with a twist of his own thing. With all the types of people trying to make it in the rap world doing the same style over and over it’s nice to see someone grow more out of the norm and add their own taste.

Jackson’s album leans more towards a young crowd, especially college students, and the things that go about within the colleges and universities. The main song “Red Plastic Cup” allows you to remember the good times with friends like finding an amazing spot to hangout, opening a couple of beers, and play some music. It’s already an instant classic that cannot be forgotten. The tempo is perfect, the songs on the album all carry a groovy style that can only be seen from Turner. I find myself walking in sync to the music. Check out his page and give a listen to the whole album.
