Ryou can only watch from the sideline when his Yami takes over his body. Locked away in his soul room he becomes desperate to find out more about the spirit of the Ring, who, at this point, is slowly starting to replace him. And that is when he discovers the dark, cruel fate of Thief King Akefia.

This story is basically made up from my head cannon for Ryou Bakura and ‘what if?’ scenarios to give him the 'screentime' he deserves. But not without completely tearing him to pieces first. I know, it's weird. We all know he deserves so much more, and here I am, messing him up;;-;;. I really do love him, promise <333 And don’t worry, the story does have an actual plot :DD It picks up during the Battle City tournament, and will end after the ceremonial duel (just like the manga and anime)
