Another random Aeneid post, because it's consuming my brain WAY more than I thought it would

Turnus is such an interesting character to me. He's this dude who wanted to marry this girl, and was pretty ok when he was denied that, UNTIL Juno/Hera stepped in and literally turned him insane.

He's got so much depth, too. There are times where he will be absolutely chill, but then he's breaking his way out of Aeneas's camp by literally splitting people from top of the skull to bottom of it and then just throwing himself into a river to get away.

He's like, Virgil's madlad of the highest order, and I kinda love him

in a "please God let me watch him from a distance and keep him AWAY from me" way.

I was abt to go to bed when i remembered Turnus’s fury was heightened by the meddling of the gods and he was simply a pawn of Juno for a game that she was always going to lose

Yes he was already cocky on his own and prideful, but it worsened

(Kinda ironic considering Turnus was quite spiteful towards the gods until his demise. But I suppose it’s a good match considering both are kings with a thing for power… but hey I ship it why the fuck not)
