You know you've probably watched too many horror flicks when you're watching a completely innocent cartoon about two friends going on a treasure hunt when they come across a weird looking statue with a weird trap door behind it... like YEAH I KNOW IF YOU GO DOWN THERE BAD THINGS ARE GONNA HAPPEN .

They found a room full of paintings of old people and a huge tower of jars full of mushrooms stacked in a pyramid... this is creepy man. Like I fucking hate mushrooms anyway so a room dedicated to mushrooms is just weird shit. The big reveal was that they found a underground water-park put there by an elderly groundhog. WTF...How does that even work? They agree to rebuild it and the groundhog is overjoyed. He then pulls out a walking stick and tells Franklin that it belonged to the young turtle’s grandfather. And all I’ve taken from this show is that I desperately want a grimdark fan-fic about how the groundhog and Franklin’s grandfather got in a fight over this waterpark and the groundhog wound up murdering the elderly turtle with his own walking stick, like impaled through his shell kind of murder.

And that kids is how I managed to come up with terrible grim-dark headcanon about Franklin the turtle.
