As we wrap up our snowstorm event, we’ve cultivated some activities for the month of February leading into March’s activity check! ( Now- March 15 )
This event will run as optional back ground fanfare for you and your characters to enjoy should you wish to participate!

Turtlebay newspaper is accepting submissions for “sweethearts.” Spotlight! Share your love story with with us for a chance to be featured during the month of February!
Activities: Poem submissions and providing and kids coloring sheets- winning poems will be featured - candy and cash prizes awarded!

Sunniside drive in will be showing classic romcoms with popcorn and a drink for just five dollars on select week nights
The book nook will have free card decorating!
Mardi Gras! :
Mardi Gras Parade celebration! The streets of downtown will come alive for an all day celebration featuring live music, art, street vendors, beads, king cake, gumbo and maybe crawdaddies!

The town council is accepting float submissions from local businesses! Let us know if you want your character or business to take part! Be that in providing a float for the parade or throwing beads and candy from one!
The downtown diner will be serving up fresh beignets all throughout the month!
Paws up for Gras! Healing paws will be offering discounted and free services for animals in need
Safe haven will be offering animal safe dye during the parade event if you want your furry friends to look festive!
Pretty cold ice cream is going to be serving special beignet and king cake ice cream flavors throughout the month of February
Visionary haven will be hosting an art exhibit during the season - taking submissions from local artists to display their works
With the Winter Events coming to an end and the New Year starting right now, a surprise winter storm has hit Turtle Bay on New Years Eve night! Covering the town in actual snow! Which brings us to this news broadcast straight from the Mayor Sharpe’s desk. Turtle Bay is on lock down, please stay where you are currently for the safety of everyone and yourself. This is a stay in place and a shelter in place warning for across the town. We have not experienced anything like this since 1989. We are expected to get at least ten inches of snow. Stayed tuned for more information. If you need help or someone you know needs help please reach out to the local police and fire department.
