Selene adjusted the crisp blazer of her Portside Hotel uniform and stepped behind the polished front desk, her heels clicking softly against the marble floor. “Good evening, and welcome to the Portside Hotel,” she said, her tone professional but warm, a hint of curiosity in her dark eyes. “I’m Selene, the manager here. May I have your name for check-in?” She handed over a sleek key card, glancing up with a polite smile, ready to make a first impression that was as flawless as the view of the harbor just beyond the lobby windows. They were busier than usual but that was because of Valentine's Day and the Mardi Gras.
Where: Lux Speed Dating
Who: Nova and ? (Boys and girls welcome)
Nova had been buried in schoolwork for the last month. She hadn't had time to go out with friends or to find anything to do other than projects and labs and work so she thought a day at speed dating would be fun. It wasn't like Nova was looking too desperately into dating. Just some fun. She wasn't looking for the epic romance her parents had. It was cute and sweet but she was too young. She just wanted some fun and enjoyment now and if she decided to settle down later well that was fine. "So other than coming down to Lux what's your favorite activity to do when you have free time." She asked smiling at the person sitting across from her as she sipped her daquiri.
Kasey stands behind the ticket counter, her headset slightly askew and a big, cheerful grin on her face. The arcade is alive with flashing lights and the faint sounds of 8-bit tunes. She waves as you approach, bouncing on the balls of her feet with excitement.
“Hey there! Welcome to Arcade Paradise! You picked the perfect day to stop by—today’s our Valentine’s Day special, which means two-for-one game play tickets! That’s double the fun for you and… well, whoever you brought along!”
She slides a stack of tickets across the counter, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
“So, what’s it gonna be—classic claw machines, some old-school racing, or are we going full-on rhythm game showdown? Trust me, today’s the day to win big… and maybe even snag a little extra prize for your Valentine.”
Morgana shifted her weight from one foot to the other, glancing at the small pizza shop through the window. The warm scent of melted cheese and tomato sauce drifted out every time the door opened. “I hope they didn’t forget the heart-shaped ones…” she muttered under her breath, tugging her jacket tighter around her shoulders. Her fingers tapped nervously against the counter as she scanned the little line of people ahead. Any second now, she’d be carrying those little hearts home—and she could already picture the grins on everyone’s faces. "What about you? Did you get some the heart shaped pizzas?"
Danica Kahn wiped her hands on a crisp white towel, stepping back to admire the careful arrangement of rose petals along the center of the long, gleaming banquet table. The soft clink of glassware and the subtle aroma of aged wine filled the air of the Wine & Dine, just hours before the Valentine’s Day gala. She was making sure every detail was perfect—from the flickering candles to the polished silverware—but a movement by the entrance caught her attention.
She straightened, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face, and gave a warm, professional smile.
“Good evening,” she said, her voice smooth but approachable. “Can I help you with something?”
