After nearly two weeks in Germany on my own, I'd next travel to the Netherlands (where I'd eventually meet my family flying in to meet me from San Francisco). I'd be using the Amsterdam Centraal Station a lot. Designed by P.J.H. Cuypers in 1881, 5 years after the Rijksmuseum (which we will explore later!), the station is stunning with its art and sculptures. One highlight is the Koninklijke Wachtkamer, the Royal Waiting Room, that you can peer in through glass from outside.
