30/7.2026 - Husband is working late today at the tank terminal in Aabenraa
30/7.2026 - beverages I drank in Aarhus today and the book that everyone is reading.
29/7.2026 - I told Bob that his mama is coming home later this week
29/7.2026 - progress on the potholders for the Ørslev Kloster project that the weaving group in Randbøldal is doing.
28/7.2026 - loom cat Mazi and a little test of all my colors for the japandi warp. the colors will be for the hemmed edges. And I clearly have to get a different white linen, as I do not like the quality of this one at all. I've got to get more of the one from the shop on Bornholm.
27/7.2026 - getting started on my japandi weaving project. While I await my viftekam (fan reed), I've used a regular one to see how my ikat stripes look. What I've learned so far is that the linen I bought from the Textillita shop on Bornholm is FAR SUPERIOR to the white linen I bought from Garnhuset Kinna in Sweden.
26/7.2026 - scenes from a Sunday. Mazi legit had no idea how to get down from that tree. We had to get a ladder and help her. Even though no one has ever found a cat skeleton in a tree.
25/7.2026 - what I did with my Saturday. Picked all the solbær and gooseberries and the first of the cherry tomatoes. And "søllet" my japandi tea towels. I'm getting very impatient for my fan reed (viftekam) to come and may have to borrow a regular 50/10 reed and weave a few to see how it looks and to get started working with my linen.
24/7.2026 - visited Deep Forest Art Land with Emmy today for the premiere of a new theatre piece - The Ruin
23/7.2026 - it was a long, but good day, dressing my loom with the ikat warp. it took three of us, thankfully two much more experienced than me and we all learned a lot. i can't wait to get started. i'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new viftekam (another of those things I don't know the name of in English, as I have learned weaving in Danish) - a fan reed, perhaps? But I still have a lot to do before I need it and it should arrive next week.
22/7.2026 - i love that Molly has become an indoor cat.
22/7.2026 - the farmer put a new black & white speckly cow in with his other cows. She seems to be fitting in and they have accepted her. she has such a cutie little round behind, from the back, she's built more like a pig. no shade to her or to pigs.
22/7.2026 - my linen from the shop on Bornholm arrived! Look at those colors!
21/7.2026 - husband didn't believe these roses would amount to anything.
20/7.2026 - I learned (from a TikTok, of course) how to pick a sweet watermelon and it seems to really work. The flower end has to be a tiny little mark, not a large one. Nice I can still learn new life skills at 59.
19/7.2026 - the remaining tea towels of the ones I made for 3daysofdesign. I also wove a strap with the indigo ikat that I dyed for my next weaving project.
18/7.2026 - wove the final tea towel of the warp where I changed that red stripe to yellow, then green, then blue, then purple, then back to green and finally back to red. 17 tea towels in all. 15 for 3daysofdesign. 2 for me, including this last one, which I couldn't resist adding a little bit of sparkle to make it my own.
