Day 14: What’s your favorite subject?
historically speaking i have been fond of history and language arts, but college is so different than anything i’ve experienced in the past. this semester im taking american sign language and i’m enjoying learning it as well as all about deaf culture so it’s definitely my favorite subject right now

i’m still struggling with motivation and health issues interfering with daily life and studying. but i’m thinking about attempting nanowrimo this year, which i know, considering everything sounds absolutely insane, but i’m wondering if adding nano will help me add structure?? or am i just being absolutely insane? probably. i’m not sure. i’m going to try and see if i can get an outline together for my novel in the next week. if i’m happy with it, i’ll do nano and i’ll probably be using this space to blog about it.
//05 October 2020//
the past few days have been rough. originally i was going to spend all of sunday study for my math test, but i’ve been in and out of the emergency room a few times the past two days and i didn’t get a chance to. I have to not beat myself up and remember that it’s okay to rest and take care of my health. sometimes i get stuck in that mindset of “oh it’s another setback” or “maybe i’m not meant to be doing this” but today i received a beautiful affirmation from a friend that im on the right track to not give up. tomorrow will be a better day. hopefully. happy studying.

i know these pictures aren’t very aesthetic with a nice background or anything, but this is my reality and i’m perfectly okay with that. studying with my little munchkin by my side. he keeps me company and he’s like a 2 hour alarm clock and reminder to take breaks! it’s pretty great.
//today i //
helped my first grader with a few of her assignments
took my 4 year old for a follow up appointment from the surgery he had back in may
finished this week’s module for ASL
watched the dodgers win game 1 of the NL wildcard
I have to remind myself constantly that i am only one person. that a lot more rests on my shoulders than school. i have little people and a partner who depend on me and time management is crucial.
I would love to participate in one of those 100 days of productivity things to help keep me accountable and motivated, but whenever i do a challenge i make an initial post and then never follow up again.
so instead i’ll just say, thanks for following me if you do, and hopefully i’ll post more things like this to help with the whole accountability and motivation thing.
what are some of your goals going into october? here are some of mine:
actually put this beautiful planner of mine to use
put away all of the laundry when it comes out of the dryer (ha! does anyone manage this??)
try and read at least 1 book just because i want to, not because i have to.
find more time for my kids.
bring up my grades in ASL and Math
