Finally nailed a Turkish getup!!! Sometimes a skill just works with a particular partner. On the very first foot to hand @lost_dragonfly and I did together we were able to do a Turkish getup to standing!! We didn't get it all the way back down on the first try, but I was still stoked to have gotten all the way up seeing as we had never done any f2h together. So here is our second ever f2h, finally getting my first Turkish getup all the way up and down 👊💥😄🙌 The only parts I'd like to add on are: 1) starting with with my hands flat in the ground by my head for the entrance. Which we probably could have done, but I didn't want to get over zealous and make myself fatigue before I could complete the skill. And 2) actually getting up to extension instead of just the bounce up that I did in the middle of this one. I was very excited about this! This is a skill I've been wanting for a good chunk of 2016 which requires a decent amount of both technique and strength. I've still got a lot of refinements to make, but I was stoked about this milestone 😄🙌 I want to give a special thanks to @ivithebatmanivi for getting me started with this skill and to @duo_die_acrobatics for really giving me an incredibly in-depth breakdown of it during a 5hr intensive I took from them about various getups and Russian Rolls (or Roulade).
