hi, i saw that in your rp you put the png on the page, and the text beside it, i was just wondering how you did that? i've seen it before but i've never really known how, and if you could tell me i'd be eternally grateful!
Upload your png wherever you want it - on the pages, I did some right after the header image and some like after the first paragraph. It should look something like below right now
Then, go and click the < html > - where all the bold, italics, blockquote stuff is. And find your image url.
Where it has the img src=”URL” part, put align=”right/left/center” RIGHT BEFORE src.
And then click out of the html and it should be aligned however you want it. Note: It’d be better to write everything out on the page and then put the images in, that’s how I did it.
Do you possibly know any good tutorials on theme making? please and thank you(:
Here’s some pretty helpful tutorials, a whole lot of them.
I suggest, if you wish to learn your own way without going out and following everything from a tutorial, get a base theme from here and just mess around with it. Make another blog, test it out, look around at other themes and see how you can go about it. I’m not saying copy other themes, just take note of how they do things and what types of things you need to do to make things look a certain way. I wouldn’t mind you doing that with my themes, if you wish - I’d even make a sort of base code for you if you’d like!
But, hopefully, those tutorials will help you out.
DIFFICULTY: Quite Hard, though once you get the hang of it - EASY
PROGRAM USED: Just your Internet
This is a tutorial on how to get one of those neat pop-up boxes on your blog, as most rps have them for their rules/ask/nav. This tutorial just shows you how to get the actual page to pop-up, this is not a tutorial for how to put a navigation, rules, or ask-box on them - I've listed some tutorials at the end for you to follow if you want to know how to do that.
First, prepare yourself. I know it's stupid but, I promise you, you'll need it. Editing HTML or doing coding is complicated and sometimes just annoying. So prepare yourself for that.
Actually, if you don't want to do that, just go to your blog > Customize > Custom Theme (Edit HTML). This is where you'll put your code, which I believe is 4 or 5 parts - so get ready.
Alright, copy and paste THIS CODE between the </style> and </head> tags in your code. Do not change anything in this code, this is kind of the magic code - it makes everything work.
Now, to make the whole thing pretty - basically you're going to into the thing called your CSS - which makes the appearance of everything. Paste THIS CODE under either the start of the CSS codes or at the very end right before </style> (which is what I did)
You don't even have to go in and change the colors - I've made them match how your theme is. You can still go and change the colors if you want, though.
The next thing is what's going on the page! Just paste THIS CODE all the way down at the bottom of your HTML, right before the </body> tag.
The last thing to do is to put the link in - basically, the link you click on the main page that makes the pop-up box show. Paste THIS CODE (it's small) where your links are located, wherever you wish.
And then click save and you should now have a pop-up page? Want to make it have rules, an ask box, or navigation? I've listed some codes to each of those down below that you can use to get one of those inside your page.
