I’ve decided that I’d like to switch up my form/style of editing a bit with future posts – this being one (so cheers to that). For todays look I opted for something darker as we prepare for the Black Fair event which opens on April 6th. The event itself features the likeliness of Vive Nine, and many other impeccable designers. The event focuses on the color black considering the timelessness of the color itself, and how the sophisticated color never manages to lose its spot in the world of fashion. This could easily be proven if you consider how we can always play black into our outfits, and never have it look like it’s clashing with other prominent colors.
The look is one that I’m totally in love with considering how the edginess of the look is effortless, and easily played off given not only the safeness of the color used, but also the different textures in play such as; fur, velvet, cloth, and leather. I opted for the ‘coer fur’ in black by David Heather for something dramatic but ‘subtle’ – the fur itself mimics the saint heart fur that Rihanna wore, and everyone dieeed over. If you look closer into the accessorizing on this look you would notice that the hat itself is cloth, and the choker is of velvet material – I did this to challenge myself considering how I usually pair the same materials with one another. The accessories used in this look are by M.BIRDIE, and Eclat – I played with the different textures using the ‘velvet choker’ by Eclat, and the ‘yeriel look beret’ by M.BIRDIE. The shoes used in this look are the stunning ‘taylor thigh high boots’ in black by The Oak – the boots themselves are one of my favorites, and I literally need them in every color.
