Do you know if Jared or Stellan are going to the Grammys?
The Grammys..? Was Chernobyl nominated for a Grammy? o__O
What I was told though by @briemund-tarthbane helps as a straw for a drowning man : the TV BAFTAs.
Thursday 26 March: Nominations announced.
Sunday 26 April: British Academy Television Craft Awards.
Sunday 17 May: Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards.
I don’t know if Chernobyl qualifies for any of their categories but seeing that the BAFTAs honour their own people (aka Jared)... who knows.
Congratulations Benedict Cumberbatch and SunnyMarch for winning TV BAFTA’s Best Mini Series for Patrick Melrose!
@radosstt
That's true. I've read many articles during the award season, about how Netflix was pushing Roma and how unbelievable it was that even 'a Netflix' is paying so much money for their Roma capain simply just to win an Oscar.
But aren't all production companies campaigning for their movies and shows?! Sadly that's how it goes.
I wish it would be different.... cause if the only way to get nominated is when you are (as an actor or anybody else involved in any sort of project) part of a project with a lot of money involved and people able to push the project, well even the best acting performance will not be recognized and honoured.
So in that case Richard was lucky that he was involved in a project, picked up by Netflix.
Oh and I'm not sure, if I have talked about this before, I know that I wanted to back when Richard won the Globe: the truth is, that Richard and also the show were also lucky that Stranger Things is going to air this year and not last year otherwise they would have campained for Stranger Things and not Bodyguard.
About the Tv Bafta nominations
So Richard was good enough to be nominated for a Golden Globe (and winning it!!!) a Critics Choice Award but not good enough to be nominated for a TV Bafta ?
Interesting 😩
I am happy for Keeley Hawes, she deserves her nomination!!... and back when the Golden Globe and orher nominations have been announced I was sad she wasn't nominated....but I was also trying to explain the 'no nomination' because she has only been part of the show for 3 episodes (the half of it) and that it has been incredible that Bodyguard and Richard have been nominated anyway. The competition has been very very huge, so...
But why was he snubbed?
Ps. I hope Bafta Scotland is going to do it better: by nominating Richard!
James Nesbitt attends British Academy Television Awards (5/10/2015)
The TV baftas a.k.a. me watching the entire thing just for 5.6 seconds of Aneurin Barnard. And me pausing it whenever he was on screen.
Does anyone have any video clips of Peter accepting his BAFTA back in 2010?
I used to have one but my laptop was reformatted so yeah it got erased. HELP! Jane Lynch was the one the presented the award.
