my unpopular take on euphoria is that i don’t actually believe nate jacobs is gay or bisexual even though i think sam levinson is obsessed w the idea of drawing a connection between closeted men and violence, i feel like he is more threatened by male sexuality in a way that comes off homoerotic but rather it’s stemmed from the trauma of watching those videos of his father rather than a genuine attraction. i think he’s obsessed w femininity which forms his attraction to maddy jules and to an extent cassie as well. he has more so a fear of being sexually dominated by men and specifically his father which leads him to believe in sexually dominating others which is why he is so obsessed with the idea of protecting and dominating women like maddy and jules. he generally fears of having someone play the role of his father in a relationship which is why he continues to put himself in that position.
