Very enjoyable programme about the faces and certain aspects of athletes! (aired on 27/9) First part is about Mao Asada. Then from 6:55 it's on Yuzu. Very brief translation by me: - He has a most powerful killer smile. - already had that charming "Yuzu-smile" from young
- 2010 J-League: 15 year-old Yuzu and mascot Begatta-kun (t/n. aka Pedo-bird.... hahaha..... this part made me laugh so much again!!!) - 2011 Yuzu met Begatta-kun again!!! He requested for Yuzu to do the Ina Bauer. No matter how unreasonable/crazy Begatta was, Yuzu kept smiling.
- Yuzu's smile made a miracle happen. Russian skater Julia Lipnitskaya is famous for not smiling. She never smiles. But when paired with Yuzu at the Olympics gala group number..... :) :))) Actually Yuzu is someone she admires. - One man asked if there is anything between them, Mai Asada said "NO".
- Yuzu's gesture before a performance is to do a sign like 士 on his body to help himself to jump beautifully. (t/n. actually it's a reminder to keep his body axis straight) -Yuzuruha Shrine in Kobe-- the name ‘Yuzuruha’ has 2 kanji's that are also in Yuzuru Hanyu's name ('zuru' and 'ha'). Yuzu has gone there 3 times in total. It started after a fan gave him something from the shrine. The first time he went, he was 16 years old. Most recent was the visit before Fantasy On ice in Kobe this year on July 2nd.
- Yuzu has a small chin. Will be suited to the artistic kind of sports, says a face-reading expert.
(my very brief translation) (much thanks to yuzupinoko for the video)
