Not Going Out? Not coming in.
Obviously, I feel sorry for the guy and his family but this is just a reminder that your! tickets! are !not! set ! it doesn’t matter how long in advance you book them it just matters about when you turn up on the night. I want this to be made aware for anyone who goes to any tv recording that unless you’re priority or production company, you have to get there hours in advance!
Not Going Out Series 10 Audience Tickets
Tickets are now available for Not Going Series 10 readthroughs and TV recordings, from www.eventbrite.com. Unfortunately I can't get the direct link to the page to load on here but just type in Not Going Out into the event search. Readthroughs take place this month (September) and recordings take place between December 2018 and February 2019. I believe that 21st December is going to be the live episode.

Something very exciting happened to me on Friday - I went to a recording of Not Going Out at Pinewood Studios!!!
I’ve been a fan of the show since the beginning and a huge fan of Lee for years - and it was an amazing experience to be in the audience.
I can’t give away spoilers obviously but we were told that series 13 would be shown in the Autumn and that there will be a Christmas Special this year. The Christmas Special will be episode 100. I fear that may be the last ever because Lee is a fan of round numbers and no mention has been made of another series being commissioned yet but who knows. Nothing either way has been confirmed. I hope there will be more. You could see how much Lee enjoys doing the show, he was having a great time, as were the rest of the cast and crew.
I actually saw two episodes - the one being recorded live (Lee said this was episode 97 - there’s three more recording dates to come) and another which had been entirely pre-recorded and was shown to us so they could record our laughing. They were both really good and funny episodes and I can’t wait to see them on TV.
It was so fun to see all the behind the scenes bits and the way the cast and crew interact together. The atmosphere on set was really warm and easy and you can tell everyone who works on the show gets on.
Lee was on top form and so funny. Him and Sally both fluffed lines, Lee more than her but he had the most to say. Lee referenced Sally being in Beyond Paradise and a few times - ‘how come you don’t forget your lines when you work with Kris Marshall?’ etc. He clearly loves teasing her and she laughed every time. You can tell they are friends and their chemistry shone as usual.
Hugh Dennis was also in the episode and it was nice to see him and Lee chatting and having a laugh between the takes of their scene. They had one scene together but there were lots of takes as Lee had one really long line and he kept getting it wrong (all the better as an audience member). He celebrated by swearing once he finally got it right then remembered the children were on set.
My favourite bits of the night were probably the mistakes and the banter between takes. Lee just makes everyone around him laugh and it’s both hilarious and endearing to watch.

The Apprentice: You’re Fired
Today, I was very lucky as I won tickets to go and watch ‘The Apprentice: You’re Fired’ being filmed at the London Studios. I had never been to a recording for this show. It was really interesting to see how everything runs behind the camera and then watching it on TV and to see the difference on how they record it to the edit. In addition it was fun to know who was fired before the rest of the country found out.
