Hi! I really enjoy your Hiei request you made for me! May I have B for Hiei with a female human s/o?. His s/o determine to get Hiei to sleep on her bed because she can't stand seeing him sleeping out of the cold raining night. Also it be funny and really cute if the flaming tsundere is secretly a big cuddler in his sleep! Hiei will kill anyone if they discover he a cuddle because of severe touch staves!😆
I won't lie, I squealed just a little when I read the cuteness of this ask. Writing the softer side of Hiei is always fun for me, so thank you for the ask! (Also, I clearly can't write a drabble so I'm sorry that this got a little long.)
You tossed and turned in bed, sheets and blanket getting tangled around your legs, and then huffed out a sigh at the darkened ceiling. After laying on your back for a moment, you groaned and rolled over so that you were curled up on your side. No position felt comfortable. You couldn't get settled. It didn't matter how soft your bed was or how warm you were in your blanketed cocoon. Sleep was eluding you, constantly slipping away, and you let out another sound of frustration as you turned your head into your pillow.
"You should be sleeping." The sudden voice caused you to jump, but your body relaxed just as quickly as soon as your wide-awake mind registered who the voice belonged to.
"I can't." Your voice was muffled by your pillow, and you turned so that just your cheek was pressed against the edge of the pillow. Your eyes had adjusted slightly to the darkness of your room, so you could see the silhouette in your window. The shining moonlight helped to highlight him as well, and you felt yourself smiling despite your current agitation with your present visitor. When he remained silent, you flopped over onto your back and then kicked the sheets down so that you could feel the cool air. "It's your fault that I can't sleep, Hiei."
"I have done nothing to interrupt your inferior sleep schedule," Hiei was quick to disagree. The urge to defend your perfectly normal sleep schedule was right on the tip of your tongue, but you bit it back. Hiei would probably never understand why humans required sleep every single night, just like you would never truly understand how demons could go days and even weeks without sleeping.
"I can't sleep while thinking about you sleeping outside in a tree. It's going to rain tonight too. How can I sleep comfortably when I know that you'll be getting rained on while laying on a branch? What if you fall off? What if you get a cold? What if you get struck by lightning?" Words and questions tripped from your lips as your mind started to race, and you realized that at some point you had sat straight up and started to nervously twist your hands together.
"You worry too much." When you looked away from your knotted hands and over at the window, you saw Hiei preparing to leave. Body turned outwards, one hand on the window, and eyes forward. So you said the first thing that came to mind.
"I worry because I care about you." Your words were quiet but effective; Hiei held his position but turned to look at you, and you followed your instinct and extended your arm out towards him. "Stay? Just for tonight? So that I know you're safe?"
What you had with Hiei was still new. It'd taken a year before you became friends and then several tension filled months before becoming something more, so speaking to him like this was new. Just like the subtle softening of his face as he slipped off of the windowsill and walked towards you. The hand that held onto yours was becoming familiar though, and you smiled as Hiei let you pull him towards the bed. He stopped before touching the mattress and lowered your hand to the mattress after briefly squeezing your fingers, and you looked up at him with curious eyes. When he started to remove his sword and then his large black cloak, you looked away and scooted to the far edge of the bed. Your hands were steady despite your rapid heartbeat as you pulled the sheets up and straightened them out, and you were sure that you were blushing as you looked over at Hiei again. He was pulling off his boot, the second one, and you listened to the quiet thud of leather and steel hitting your floor.
"Only tonight," Hiei told you as he sat on the edge of the bed. You watched as Hiei's back and shoulders moved under his thin shirt as he took in a full breath, and then he was lying down next to your upright form. He was on his back, one arm behind his head and the other over his stomach, and he was looking up at you expectantly. Right! You slowly inched down until you were lying down on your side next to him, and you pulled the sheets up around you.
"Blanket?" you asked around a yawn. Hiei shook his head, which didn't surprise you. It wasn't cold in your room, even with the window still open, and you wrapped your sheets around your body as you curled up next to Hiei.
The relationship was still new, and you had both decided to take things slow. Hiei sharing your bed tonight was only about comfort, and to ease your worried mind. So you didn't ask to cuddle or even for a goodnight kiss. The two of you would get there, in time. Just lying next to Hiei and feeling the heat he put off was enough for you, mostly because you knew he wasn't sleeping outside in the open. Before long, you could feel your mind starting to quiet as your body began to melt into the mattress. It wouldn't be long before you were asleep, and you managed to whisper out a goodnight before finally giving in.
The next morning came way too early, and you were woken up by the incessant chirping of the birds that were nested in the tree next to your window. You normally couldn't hear them so loudly, which meant that your window had to be open. As your mind slowly began to regain more consciousness, you could feel the weight of humid air and smell rain. It had rained the night before, leaving your room smelling like wet grass and fresh flowers. It wasn't a bad way to wake up, and you started to raise your arms to stretch but was immediately stopped by-oh.
Your eyes blinked open as you remembered Hiei coming into your room and then you asking him to stay, and all you could see was soft light blue. Hiei's shirt. Your face was practically buried in his chest, and you couldn't move your arms because Hiei was holding onto you. You thought you were still on your side of the bed, so Hiei must have moved over in the night and gathered you into his arms. He was warm and solid against you, and you tucked your smile against his shoulder as you felt his hands flexing against your back. You were sure he'd be embarrassed after waking up to realize that he had sought out cuddles in his sleep and would possibly disappear, so you closed your eyes and enjoyed the closeness while it lasted.
An hour later, after Hiei had woken up and blushed a bright red before disappearing, you stretched out on your bed and started thinking of ways to get Hiei to cuddle you again.
I didn't get any requests for the Alphabet Asks, but I still wanted to write a little something. So here's a reader drabble, with the pairing left up to your imagination, and using the prompt Just Friends
"You two are cute together," Botan whispers in a quiet sing-song tone. The two of you are sitting near an open window, and you love the feeling of the cool night air on your skin.
"We're not together," you remind your friend for what feels like the thousandth time. Every time the whole group gets together, Botan finds a way to get you alone and tease you about a relationship that you're not even in. That you don't want to be in, you remind yourself.
"Does he know that? He's looking at you now like he just can't help himself." Botan's breathless giggles are contagious, and your own soft laughter joins hers as you lower your cheek to her shoulder. You peek out between your hair at the full room, but no one is looking at you or Botan right now.
You see Kuwabara first, towering over everyone around him. His face is flushed and causing his eyes to shine, and you can even see his curls starting to brush by his temples since the air inside the temple is warm and humid.
Kurama is standing next to him, long red hair held above his neck with what looks like thin vines. He's laughing at something Kuwabara said as his eyes scan the room, and he slightly tips his head in your direction and holds your eyes for a moment before returning to his conversation.
There's loud cheers and dismayed groans coming from your left, and you realize that Botan has started idly playing with your hair as your cheek shifts against her shoulder so that you can see what's causing all the commotion.
Kujou is actually pouting as he looks down at his hand, which is showing a classic scissors sign, and Hiei still has his fisted hand held out in front of him. There's a rare smile on his face, softening his features, and you're still admiring the expression when he looks at you. Hiei raises a brow in challenge, and you slowly shake your head in the negative. You'll let someone else lose to Hiei in the next round of janken.
As you feel Botan starting to lean more weight against you, so that you are now holding each other up, your eyes dart to the other side of the room. You can hear Yusuke laughing as Chu holds a barrel in the air to chug down the liquid inside, and Yusuke is still hooting as your eyes lock. He shoots you a quick wink before tipping the barrel up higher, and your eyes close.
"We're just friends," you think as you rest against your possibly napping friend. "Just friends."
Hiei x Botan with any letter for the fluff alphabet
Thank you so much for the ask! For some reason when I saw the ship, my mind went straight to a Coffee Shop AU. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Also, it’s a Human AU. I’m sorry it took me so long to get this done, but the story got away from me and became a little longer than a drabble. So I’ll post a teaser here and the rest can be read on AO3.
Hiei slipped into the small coffee shop behind a group of laughing imbeciles and went unnoticed as he quickly moved across the abnormally colored tiles to his usual table at the back of the shop. The table was tucked into a corner, so he could sit with his back to the wall and see the entirety of the shop while sitting under the shadow of the large shelf above the table. It was an unusual decorating choice, the shelves that were randomly mounted on the walls above the tables, but that oddity paled in comparison to the mismatched tiles and the eclectic cast of characters painted on the walls. Red eyes moved over the familiarities before honing in on the aberrations; five adult males, all of average size and talking with the loud confidence of people used to getting their way, and he felt his upper lip trying to curl as their obnoxious voices bounced around the inside of the coffee shop.
So, I got an ask requesting a drabble for Hiei and Yusuke. I replied to it and then it just disappeared? So tumblr totally ate the ask. I’m sorry @sakihanajima1, but this is for you! The drabble got long so I’ve posted it on AO3. I hope you like it!
Today, Yusuke had decided, was a good day. The second Demon World Tourney was officially over, Natsume was going to be calling the shots and Yusuke trusted her not to burn the whole world to the ground, and they were celebrating! Souketsu had slung an arm around Yusuke's neck once they were both conscious and told him that they were all heading to the massive palace that was going to be Natsume's for the next several years to celebrate in a way that would make Raizen nearly jealous enough to rise from the grave, which had not been a fun mental image, but Yusuke had agreed to tag along with everyone else. So, here they were. Raizen's old friends next to his old enemies and the friends Yusuke had made over the years, drinking and dancing and laughing together under the night sky in the ridiculously large garden behind the palace.
Can I request something of pure comedy? I'd like to see "Bed Sharing" between Yusuke and Kuwabara.
Thank you so much for this ask! I had way too much fun writing it. So much fun that it got a little long, so I've posted it on AO3 instead of having the whole thing here.
So you can read about Yusuke and Kuwabara sharing a bed here!
I don't know if this is in your comfort range to write, but would you consider a post-series drabble of gang hanging out, all married and happy, watching their kids play together? Any couples you think work best if you're willing!
Thank you so much for the ask! Adorable fluff like this is always in my comfort range to write! So, sweet anon, you can always send happy fluff requests like this! For pairings, I went with Yusuke/Kuwabara and Hiei/Kurama because I was trying to keep this at drabble length. I still got carried away with the fluff though, so I posted this on AO3! Thank you again for the lovely ask and I hope you like it!
“Nozomi! Get down from there!” Kuwabara yelled. The little girl was standing on top of the jungle gym, fists raised into the air, and bellowing out her victory at reaching the highest point of the playground. Yusuke was too busy laughing at her ecstatic expression to really worry, so it was Kuwabara that rushed across the playground to catch Nozomi just as she jumped from the top of the jungle gym. Other kids were clapping and cheering as Kuwabara easily swiped her out of the air, and Kuwabara could feel his heart trying to beat out of his chest as he held the little girl out to look at her grinning face. “Do you know how dangerous that was?!”
I'mma be honest with you. I first saw this like seconds after waking up and it felt like I was trying to crack a secret code, and I am not all that intelligent 😂 So, I LOVE THIS ASK! Thank you so much for sending it. Even though answering it is totally going to be impossible. Also, since seeing this made me smile first thing in the morning which rarely happens unless I wake up to someone giving me coffee, I'm going to write little scenes to go with the answers!

"Come on, Kuronue! It'll be funny, I swear!" I whisper as I shake Kurunoe's much taller form. After being shaken a few times, he pulls himself free and finally agrees to my marvelous plan.
That night, we wait until everyone is gathered together to celebrate Kuronue's miraculous return to life. I watch as Kuronue takes a sip of his drink, bulges his eyes out, and then starts frantically clawing at his throat. He drops to the ground, gurgling and writhing, while all of the party goers look on in shock. As Kurama kneels at his returned friend's side and begins to mourn anew, I shake my fists at the heavens and demand to know why Kuronue was taken so soon for the second time.
A hush falls over the crowd, the only sound heard is Kurama's quiet crying, and then..."You're not even gonna try to resuscitate me?"
As Kuronue and I run from a very angry Kurama who clearly cannot take a joke, I stand by my belief that faking Kuronue's death was a brilliant idea. Kurama will totally laugh about it. After he kills us.
🌹💋
It has been nearly a year since my plan to fake Kuronue's death, and Kurama still regards me coldly. Which is fair, I suppose. So one night at Yomi's I sit next to Kurama on the palace steps and sincerely apologize to him for tricking him for the first time. I think he recognizes my genuine tone and says that he's nearly ready to forgive me, which is a relief because I know that he can kill me easily and make it look accidental.
"Nearly? What's it gonna take to get me fully forgiven?" I ask and immediately feel fear when Kurama smiles. He's smiling like everything is going according to plan, which can't be good for me.
"A simple act of affection," he says and looks upwards. This year's Christmas Party is being held in Gandara, and the palace has been fully decorated to fit the occasion. Including mistletoe. Like the sprig hanging over our heads.
My first thought is to question why someone would hang up mistletoe so far away from where the party is being held. My second thought is that I'm sitting under mistletoe with Kurama. My third thought is, when did I lean forward to kiss Kurama?
As Kurama pulls away from our chaste kiss with another sweet smile, I feel my body slowly turning to stone. Well, not actual stone. I am definitely paralyzed though as I fall back to lie immobile on the steps, and Kurama stands up so that I can see him. He maintains eye contact as he uses a handkerchief to wipe at his lips, and it hits me that he just pulled a Poison Ivy on me. With one last smile, he tips his head towards me and then walks off to leave me paralyzed on the stairs for the next couple of hours.
😈💍
"Hey, Yomi?" I ask. We're lying in our bed, Yomi sitting up against the headboard with his fingers moving across the pages of his book, and I'm stretched out on my back with my head pillowed on his thigh. When he just hums in acknowledgement of me saying his name, I take that as a suitable reply and continue. "You thought it was funny when I convinced Kuronue to fake his death, right?"
"Which time?" he absently asks. I mean the first time, but I don't clarify. All of the times were hilarious and worth the punishments that Kurama doled out afterwards.
"Your answer should have been yes," I inform him. I can hear him closing his book and setting it aside, and then the room is suddenly spinning. When it stops, Yomi is on his back with me lying stretched out over him.
"Are you and Kuronue planning on torturing Kurama again?" Yomi asks as he runs his fingers through my hair. It's very soothing and has me half asleep in seconds.
"No," I lie. Yomi can easily hear the deceit in my heartbeat and laughs quietly, causing my body to shake along with his.
"Are you sure it is wise to keep angering a fox?" My face nuzzles against his chest as I flick through my memories of Kurama's enraged face, and I know Yomi can feel my smile against his skin.
"Probably not, but I'm sure my strong loving husband will protect me," I say proudly. Hands grab my arms and pull me farther up Yomi's body, and we're both smiling a little too much to kiss properly but that's okay. Because I like the feeling of my husband's lips moving against mine as he promises, "Always."
