He didn't know where he was, or what exactly had happened... And he was wracking his brain to try and figure it out. The day had been much like all the others, the Avengers had gone out to defeat some bad guy, and he'd been encouraged to let the Hulk out to play... They'd had a different relationship for quite a while, one that was more equal and more beneficial for them both. So, despite being reluctant, Bruce had agreed. And suddenly the Hulk went from smashing things- and people- around to being somehow tranquilized and hauled off through some strange portal door... He'd thought maybe Stephen Strange was behind this, but the armored guards didn't fit his aesthetic.
Somewhere along the line the Hulk had receded, and Bruce had become the prisoner. Except he didn't get to be a prisoner for long. Panicked and afraid, these agents- apparently from this "TVA" agency- were raising what looked like torches to him in a threat... It was almost comedic despite his confusion, until he got prodded with one from behind and suddenly felt his body turning to static. He'd cried out in surprise, and had barely started to yell and shout before he found himself falling...
Bruce hit the ground with a hard thud, the grass beneath him doing nothing to soften the landing. In the back of his mind the Hulk was raging, but even he was too afraid to come out; being sedated wasn't common for him, and it was enough to put him back into his cage for a while. As the doctor stood to get his bearings, adjusting his glasses as he glanced out across the desolate expanse of land, a thundering sound began to arise from behind him... And then a deafening roar. Turning slowly, like pret caught by the predator, a huge beast of black smoke appeared from the clouds... Whatever it was, it was hungry. And it was headed right for him. Without a second thought he began to run- to where, he didn't know. Anywhere that could maybe save him from whatever hell hole he'd found himself in.
